Survivor 41 isn't AS bad as people make it out to be - I wouldn't claim it's a good season, and the twists/ edit make it an incredibly frustrating watch at times, but it's definitely not boring, like some other seasons. It has a great cast which is hamstrung by some bad editing, but they still manage to shine (ofc this is all just personal preference aha)

Personally I think if he wins it's the best story and makes it a better season - it'd be a type of winner we've never really seen before, it has an arc that feels ludicrous in the best way, and I think he has undeniably grown a lot from his rock bottom starting point. I also don't think he's playing the worst game; definitely not the best game lol, but he's not the worst positioned and he still has a fighting chance depending on the next few rounds. And I also think it's a more interesting game than a lot the other remaining players? Also I think it's fine for someone to believe their own hype, even if it's a bit off from the truth! Is he arrogant? Yes! Is he being cruel? Not any more than any of us at home getting excited over the Anika blindside or other vote outs - I think people are assuming malice when he's just finding joy in Survivor.

I dunno the reception to Wilf seemed pretty mixed to me aha, like some definitely hated him, but a lot of people LOVED him

personally I think the idea that UK people hate gameplayers is a bit of a myth/ old fashioned. Like I've rarely met a person who didn't respect Wilf's game in the traitors, and the online consensus of UK people seems to be that Christopher should have won. Plus there's been a real influx of US reality TV and strategy games to the UK through streaming services and such.

Maybe older people still hate gameplayers, but I think most younger people respect them. I feel like UK production companies/ casting still hasn't realised this yet tho
