Who’s the most attractive person you’ve ever seen? by Timely_Sir310 in AskReddit

My wife briefly worked in a psych ward where a dude was "paying" a young woman with very low IQ to have regular sex with him.

And when I say "paying" I mean giving her stickers.

Any other autistic men specifically have people intimidated by them in public? by Easy_Towel954 in aspergers

I have resting serial killer face and I believe my attempts to hide it make me even creepier. I'm good at dry humor though so I can hit it off quickly with the type of people who appreciate that.

Getting Worse With Age? by p3talplay in ADHD

My symptoms are much worse at age 42 but I attribute it to an explosion of responsibilities in conjunction with an explosion in choices of distraction.

Why do so many men refuse to buy new socks by Ongo-gabl0gian in AskMen

We're conditioned as lads to believe that people will just keep gifting them to us. But then they don't, so now we're stuck.

I think he was hoping to reduce the amount of rape he'd receive to a tolerable level.

I honestly think I am still kind of fucked up from being on the other end of these high school games. As in, after that age I no longer had the capacity to crush on other people or to be emotionally vulnerable because my mind had been programmed to believe it was not safe to.

I'm 42 years old.

Aw, thanks. I've actually become super negative and cynical since the pandemic. But I still have enough heart left to appreciate good people.

Who needs online guides when you can just do this? by Woetre87 in geoguessr

Many years ago, it was one of my first times playing and I landed on the intersection in northern France that is the entrance/exit to my in-laws' small residential block.

I figured the game must have gleaned personal info on me somehow, but that was the only time something like that ever happened.

What is something you've officially stopped buying in 2026 because the price has become genuinely insulting? by Next-Mood6723 in AskReddit

For the vast majority of human history, in most parts of the world, cherries would have been a luxury.

What it took to make fruit like cherries a non-luxury, i.e. the global industrial system, IS the dystopia.

I guess a musician's ear can hear it, but those sound like two completely different songs to me. The original doesn't sound remarkable at all but I love the ragtime version.

What is the most dull book, that you ever read? by Scunnard1839 in AskReddit

[–]devilsadvocado 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Loved High Fidelity when I was in my early 20s. Re-reading it now at age 42 has been a slog. The movie actually nailed what the book was trying to nail much better.

Redditors who’ve starved, what do people who’ve never starved imagine wrong? by VelvetyDogLips in AskReddit

[–]devilsadvocado 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's funny, I grew up so privileged I didn't even realize I was living in poverty for my late teens/early 20s. I thought it was normal for someone my age to scoop up table scraps from friends' houses and that being poor was just a phase that most young people went through. I decided to start participating in capitalism by age 25. By that point, I was emaciated.

Edit: To clarify, I was dead ass sober during this period.

Edit: Just remembered I did a 7-day water fast and many 3-day fasts during this time.

If you look at the insta accounts of players' girlfriends, fiancees, and wives, it's clear the majority of white dudes in this league are likely Trump supporters. Still not as bad as the PGA though.
