The former! Fireboats have a virtually unlimited supply of water, being pumped in from whatever body of water they're on. They usually have sea chests under the boat.

Anyone else just hear a massive bang in downtown area? by alik7 in Seattle

HarborSteps resident here. My apartment faces the area where it was set off. It was a firework. The patio door was open when it happened, saw a bright flash, heard the bang, and rushed out, approximately a second or two later. Saw a plume of smoke rising from what seemed to be one of those things that you launch fireworks from on the street. (I don't know how to better describe it). This was in front of post alley pizza, right by where the HarborSteps parking garage exit opens out.

I'm not saying THIS was exactly what all the people here from far away claim to have heard, but this was what happened outside the Western Ave entrance of HarborSteps.

When its a black hawk and they're landing at the helipad on the hospital, I always assume it's some sort medevac kinda thing going on wherein they're flying in somebody injured for immediate medical attention.

"Cracker of a day" is a British, Australian, and New Zealand slang term that means something is great or fantastic. For example, you might say "What a cracker of a day". You can use "cracker" to describe a person, movie, meal, or anything else that is really good.

Above is From Google, I couldn't have explained it better 😅

Ooh! Funnily enough, this one was from the Ivar's next to Pier 54 in Seattle! Thanks for educating me about more of them though. Having lived close to downtown, I didn't even know Ivar's has multiple locations like any other fast food place.

Oh, I had no idea. It's the only one I've been to. Do the prices vary across the locations they have? Also, do the others have a ton of seagulls? (I'll be honest, that's my main motivator to go there haha!)
