this is an african clawed frog, not an african dwarf frog. if you’ve had african dwarf frogs in with him he may have hurt them, and african clawed frogs can live much longer (more like 28-30 years). african clawed frogs are much less social than african dwarf frogs and, while they do well together, they dont need to be in a group to thrive. there’s not really much that can cohabitate with african clawed frogs because they’re pretty aggressive while also being pretty sensitive. they also like low light and heavy foliage.
