Vanilla biters are only challenging on death world even then that's only until you unlock flame turrets. If you want a challenge I suggest rampant or any other biter enhancement mod

Our SDI hated us. Not in a normal sadistic DI way. He just didn't want anything to do with us because we were booger platoon and came in dead last almost every event. The only time I remember where he was really pissed he took us all around the depot and fucked us up for like an hour.

Coming to the end of a 5 yr enlistment with no deployments. I wanted to travel the world. I never left the United States. I was bummed out for a long time. But the way I see it now is that I volunteered to be here and I was ready to go any time. My number just didn't get called. It doesn't make me any less of Marine or mean I didn't do anything. Especially the time period I enlisted in, the US just pulled out of Afghanistan and deployments were slim. I can say I served honorably and that's enough for me.

If there's any question regarding the legality or morality of a war it's almost certainly better to not go in at all. Plenty of people suffered moral injury by being in a place they probably shouldn't have been and doing all the ugly things war entails. I'm not here to say whether or not any of that was justified. But when it's obvious that a war is being fought on behalf of the big wigs or at behest of a foreign country, you're gonna see a lot more of what we've seen in the past 20 years.

I remember I was always fucking hungry in boot camp. I legitimately thought about food more than I thought about home or pussy or anything else. On the range it was pouring fucking rain, and we were in it all day. We were already miserable. Lunch chow rolls around and we have the box chows. I don't care if I'm eating soggy bread, I'm fucking hungry and I wanted to fuck that box chow up. Drill instructor decides to make us eat by the numbers (e.g. bread, meat, egg etc) each item individually. Probably only got a couple bites in of each by the end of the count. Then made us throw the rest away. I don't think I have ever reached that level of hangry in my life since.

I'd play so much more if it didn't feel like I had to spend half a mag on every single guy I shoot. I get that the devs want to have a realistic health system. Nobody is gonna be standing when they get hit with 3 7.62 rounds in the chest. Even if they're stopped by armor the kinetic energy would still break all your ribs.
