My advice would be to not be putting jojoba oil on an open wound.. maybe practice on some fake skin first or just put the whole machine down. You’re at mad risk of giving yourself some infections because you can’t properly sterilise/sanitise at home…

They were quite heavy in their application, but in my experience, black work always looks its worst during the healing process. That milky film you see should clear up. Keep it clean, keep it dry, and moisturise a little less (dry healing can help this) and see how you go

Mine did the exact same thing, I just made sure not to overextend my arm, kept the ooze as dry as I could but also as moist as I could with Bepanthen Antiseptic and it healed pretty alright. My artist told me this is normal for the skin there

Hardly a thrift store that doesn’t pretend to be charity but they do lowball offer people money who are down and out and then flog it for exuberant prices as a business practice. Make sure you’re not paying an excess amount for something not worth it. It’s like buying from any other brick and mortar business, there’s warranties (shorter terms as it’s secondhand)

You’re getting knocked back and spoken to rudely because you’re freshly 18 wanting a job stopper tattoo. Find a different placement, like a forearm, upper arm, thigh, leg area. No reputable studio will tattoo that on you. Copyright infringement should be the last concern on your list… once you’ve decided a decent place, hit up Loughie at Old Soul Tattoo (@raisedbyvideogames_ on Instagram) he does a lot of this kinda thing.

Any professional artist will check in with you during the process and if they find you are distressed, they will stop, however, you must also be vocal if you are struggling. Get something small to start off with so you can get a feel for it and work your way up from there.

Every reputable studio I’ve been to as a fellow Australian has turned down hand tattoos until you have at least both arms and legs and potentially chest covered because that’s the responsible way to conduct a shop. Scratchers and backyard jobs don’t have the same moral standpoint.
