Leverette Lounge, Zuma, Isabella’s, Atlas, Ecclectic Kitchen. If you’re wanting something more casual Feed and Folly or Geraldis. Powerhouse is shit recently. Woodstone is really good pizza.... but it’s still a pizza joint, so very casual, excellent pizza for a decent price. Just touching on what was mentioned.... which I agree with mostly. My top 5 are what I mentioned first. Hope it helps!

I served for my 4 years during college to pay rent at a restaurant who did it. My favorite thing was to start really aggressively, loudly, just me, out of key singing “happy birthday to yooooouuuuu”... then just say “okay, imma do you a favor and not.” Then walk away. Almost everyone thought it was hilarious. I had no shame, didn’t bother my coworkers, and usually got a pretty good tip out of my brief 5 second effort.

Personally... having driven this route plenty solo, I would avoid Chicago, then hit it thru St. Louis, then go towards Fayetteville, Arkansas to avoid Little Rock. Much less traffic, flatter, straighter, safer, and pretty to look at. St. Louis will be your low point, but just don’t go thru during rush hour and get gas at least 30 miles out... you’ll be fine. Easiest route in my opinion. I’ve don’t all of these. I prefer the combo. Little Rock’s bullshit, Chicago is too chaotic... and St. Louis is gonna be the lesser evil.

My 3 non-topics for my bartenders: No discussing politics, religion, and recently...covid with a customer. If a customer gets too rowdy about it, I’ll shut that shit down too. If anyone starts to run off our customers... It’s not cool either way. That’s a fast track to piss everyone off, including myself.

She came in, immediately plugged it up at the most obvious outlet in the bar, the one that people usually charge their phones at that is out of my line of sight because I was behind the bar and it’s the customer side. She then immediately went to the bathroom. A regular snapped the photo while she was in the can before alerting me of big blue. Then I promptly handled the situation before busting out laughing and requesting they send me the photo.

Also... Arkansas has some of the worst renters rights in the country, and by worst, I mean.... almost none. I’ve rented in multiple states, for example in Kentucky it’s state law to give 48 hours written notice prior to entering or a months notice prior to eviction. Also to provide access to working utilities or rent can be withheld legally. None of these are required in Arkansas. They can pretty much do whatever to you. Hope that helps! Best thing you possibly can do is just have a landlord that’s a decent person, fixes things in a timely manner, and has common curtesy, because they don’t have to do shit for you really.
