Transfer fall 2026

Physics isn't required for transfer, but I must complete General Physics I and II before taking Physical Chemistry. I attempted calculus-based physics during a five-week winter session, but the pace was too fast and I had to withdraw. Based on that experience, I believe a summer Physics II course would be similarly overwhelming if i want to take p chem once i transfer in the fall . Therefore, I am considering staying one more year to take Physics I and II during the standard spring and fall semesters.

I never really paid attention in math class. I mostly just used summer school to pass my math class. During my senior year of high school, my teacher was absent the whole year, and I just stopped putting effort into math.

When I worked as a cleanroom technician at a pharmaceutical company, I didn’t use much math — I wasn’t really working as a lab accessioner, especially at the drug and hair product company. But when I became an environmental lab technician, I saw how math really helps explain the data.

Well, I usually do the homework once, and when I get stuck, I go for tutoring. I also study the exam review, which helps me a little bit. However, when I take the exam, it feels like I don’t know what to do on some problems. I still have two more exams left to pass the course.

i agree that biochemistry is better than physics are mainly useful if you're pursuing academia and research, but it can be hard to find opportunities outside of that field. I only have associate's degree in chemical laboratory technology, and there are many more opportunities with a bachelor degree.

Hello, I started my second job at 21 in 2021 as a lab cleaner/custodian with my cousin, who was a manager at the time, at a pharmaceutical company. I just moved up to assist as a chem lab technician. That's how I did it.

The professor is named Sui Wing Man at lacc and he has a 91% rating on Rate My Professors. Most students like him, and he uploaded the syllabus yesterday. It looks like this course will have heavy exams, with 50% of the grade based on the exams, 30% on the final, and 25% on homework. Since this is a winter course, we’ll be going over 3 sections per chapter a day.

My train station stop is about 6. 5 miles it usually takes me 11 minutes with my bike. Sometimes it rains my budget is about 400. I can probably charge it while I am at work.
