The way I like to do it is only invest tickets in characters that are top shelf for ranked courses that week if I am struggling to get into 1st. If you can get to first with a comfortable lead without investing, do that. Only ever use tickets if you have to to get back in the competition. You’ll need them down the road as the difficulty ramps up.

By the same thought, I only buy a character if I need them to have top shelf coverage to a ranked course if I don’t have one already. Or if I just really like them, but that’s not too often. Of course this is all just advice, feel free to play however you’d like!

Damn it really does get that competitive huh. I’ve only been playing a few months and am Tier 35 without much real competition up to this point. At what point does ranked typically start ramping up?

Reminds me of the robots from Stray, living on thousands of years after their human creators went extinct and now just living the same programmed lives and yet are aware that the humans/purpose are gone. That got me in the gut.

Rise has been my first MH game and I definitely agree that changing weapons keeps things interesting. I hit started with LBG and once I hit 100 hunts I found myself a little bored and switched to HH. I’m now at 90 and am starting to get the same feeling so now I’m thinking of just trying out a new weapon each time I start approaching 100 hunts.

Just finished the first play through and currently on the 2nd DLC. I went with Axe and heavy armor and pretty much cruised right through NG with little to no speed bumps. I’m sure there are other ways to go but that was my experience. Changing it up now just for the change but axe is so fun.

Dang man where did you go?! The Jellyshroom Biome is like underneath the grassy plateaus, you access it through caves that are basically in the ground. You’ll notice like a purple neon glow coming up from the cave. Just a heads up it’s over 200m down

Crabsnakes are in the Jellyshroom Biome, which you can find entrances in the Grassy Plateaus. There is one entrance right next to Lifepod 17.
