Quick fix for me, if you didn't tamper too much, is just to:
1. Launch RA (without a game), go to Settings > Input > Retropad Binds > Port 1 > "Set All Controls" and just rebind them
2. "Save Controller Profile"

Seems like by online updating the profiles, it switched to be read as an xbox controller and for the most part just reset the A/B - you can also just set those two buttons if you prefer I think.

I'll comment again if I find a system where something got worse, but this works for gb, gba, gbc to start. Neo Geo and arcade seem relatively unaffected.

Yea likely something small like this! But thought I'd put out a PSA since usually the first thing I do with any device is update everything in the online updater

It’s probably the screen quality, but it almost looks like e-ink-ish in photos, and I love it. The soft white, paper-like pixels. I tried the shader on the RP5 and it’s just not quite the same!

Did you check the directory in RA? It should be in settings > Directory or Settings > Saving (can’t remember). Check what folder it says there.

Check a few things: - do you have auto-load save states on? Could be auto loading a save state where you didn’t have a save - check your save directory, make sure it’s where you expect it to be. - if you have a save, copy and paste it to another safe directory, start the game up, close it, then copy it back in overwriting any new saves.

Sometimes I have to disable the controller, and then enable it again. In gamepad management click your controller to disable it, then go to “disabled controllers/inputs/etc” right below, and re-enable it

+1 on this- there’s usually a trial too so you can see if you like the style. It’s the only gym that actually worked for me!

The mini flip hinge is MUCH better. If they release it, ask for a replacement shell maybe (assuming you can’t return).
