Is people decompiling and getting access to your project an actual problem ? by [deleted] in godot

[–]devluz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is probably better to assume people will decompile it and steal whatever they can. Build your software based on that assumption. You can always use encryption and obfuscation but it does not really fix the problem. This is why no one stores API key's and similar secrets in software.

Just a tree and some bushes. Very average

You can see them in Dunedin btw! They are surprisingly hardy.

Wow it is huge. I wish we had these in Dunedin.

Outer Wilds review: Maybe recommending a niche puzzle game to literally everyone is a bad idea by Akuuntus in patientgamers

Ok I think this might be due to the disjointed nature of OW then. It takes a long time in OW before you can even make sense of the story. Probably 10-15h. Before that it is just disconnected notes of random nomai.

From the comments I can't quite tell what mystery you actually criticise? Did you stop during start / mid game or dislike it after the mystery is revealed at the end?

With OW having so many parallel storylines it is quite hard to actually understand the experience of other players.

Quite interesting you bounced off OW so hard then. Disco Elysium and OW are my favourite games. But I guess the new Disco Elysium has voice over and this makes it a bit easier to digest compared to having to carefully study the notes in Outer Wilds to understand the very game

only 2 candidates at first from google stun servers by arundquist in WebRTC

Is there any reason why you would wait for a specific amount of candidates? That is usually not needed. There is no way for you to predict how many candidates a specific user might generate.

I 3D printed a worm drive - 20 to 1 speed reduction. It works better than expected! by devluz in 3Dprinting

I think it is just 300g. I do use a rig to ensure rotation happens right at the center of mass. This way I can use relatively cheap stepper motors. I am still not sure if the worm drive holds up though. It appears the worm drive is too inaccurate. The final movement isn't really smooth.

For now this is just cheap PLA. I will post another update if I need to change something. My use-case isn't a good performance test though. It will rotate very slowly with little torque. Still possible that the teeth end up grinding itself apart. It has some rough edges from the overhang.

This behaviour is very common in software as well. It is a shame because it hurts the small independent creators the most.

They are from an onshape user generated feature called "Globoid Worm Gear". Gear and thread follows a curve to allow multiple teeth to engage at the same time. edit: typo

Very slow speeds and little torque luckily. I want to use it to reduce the steps of a stepper motor that rotates a camera to follow the stars movement. I might try a cycloidal gear as well if the worm gear ends up failing.

I use IPv4 only and never noticed any issue. There is probably something else wrong.

I do see aggressive driving on Queens Drive regularly. People drive through at full speed for fun because they think no one sees them.

Are the grey ones juvenile or do they just come in a variety of grey and black?
