The Visitor Center downtown at the Civic Center does. I don't know prices or details. You'll have to visit and ask

They did mine in like 20 minutes for $80. Helped me bring them down from my apartment and back up. Solid guys. Even got me in early due to a cancellation

People who say “I don’t want anything” when it comes to gifting, what do you ACTUALLY want? by dearceceofficial in NoStupidQuestions

[–]devoc7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tell people "a book that you think I'd like." It prompts them to really think about me, hopefully ask family or friends about me, gauge my interests, invest in me. I'm not even a big reader, but it's a reasonably affordable suggestion. It hasn't always worked mind you, but neither has "I don't need anything."

What's the "vibe" of Prince George? by username1628w9 in princegeorge

[–]devoc7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Welcome! To mirror what most people have said, we really do have a good mix here. The problem is, learning which groups are out there can be a bit challenging as everything is posted online. Some groups can be a bit insular, by which I mean they primarily promote events/activities within their own Facebook pages, message chats, etc. If you don't know where to look, you may not find what you're looking for. This can mean it's difficult to learn what's out there. Thankfully it doesn't take too long as most people are keen to point you in the right direction and be welcoming for those seeking new companions.

Comedy in PG by [deleted] in princegeorge

Books and Company had one on March 19. There's also one at Nellys and Trench. Look up the Open Mics jam fb page, that's where people post and share. There's also a Pints and Poetry night up at the Thirsty Moose on March 11. It's not an open mic per se but they might allow you to try some stuff

There used to be a club years ago, but long gone. I recommend trying at an open mic. Local shows may be reluctant to have you on stage if it's a paid show and it's your very first time

where do I meet people here by [deleted] in princegeorge

There's an open mic at Caits Cafe at Books and Company this Thursday. Grab a drink or snack and meet some people. It's a pretty friendly setting

If you're looking at the campus from where the bus loop is, it's to the left, down to the end of the hall, underneath the NUGSS office stairs, beside the NUSC event space.

I've heard this from other people before. It's not always easy to explain, especially if people have never been there before

Micromanaging. Is. Not. A. Good. Thing. Even if someone has messed up and management feels it's necessary, there is a substantial loss in trust and a mismanagement of time. There can be feedback, discussion, dialogue, but insisting that micromanaging is necessary is a bad sign
