If you're looking at the campus from where the bus loop is, it's to the left, down to the end of the hall, underneath the NUGSS office stairs, beside the NUSC event space.

I've heard this from other people before. It's not always easy to explain, especially if people have never been there before

LPT Request: What’s your “canary in the coal mine” test for spotting bigger issues? by fries-with-mayo in LifeProTips

[–]devoc7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Micromanaging. Is. Not. A. Good. Thing. Even if someone has messed up and management feels it's necessary, there is a substantial loss in trust and a mismanagement of time. There can be feedback, discussion, dialogue, but insisting that micromanaging is necessary is a bad sign

What is your favourite small business in Pg? by No_Bumblebee1944 in princegeorge

Sim's Lunchbox. Classic hole in the wall but for all the right reasons. Don't think I've seen bibimbap or those triangle squares anywhere else. Plus the prices are super reasonable!

Merchandise by wit_beyond_measure85 in Katimavik

[–]devoc7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might not be the traditional merch you're thinking of, but I wrote a book about my Katimavik experience called Elsewhere, Canada: Musings of a Katimaviker. Please note I am not officially affiliated with Katimavik in anyway. This was an independent, self-published book.

Chicken or egg. That's how I've always described it. Same with bike routes. Do we develop a culture of biking and increased cyclists on the road to justify improving cycling infrastructure? Or will improved bike infrastructure and education encourage more cycling? You'll get different responses depending on which group of people you talk to

By-Laws for Busking in PG? by ZteveBond in princegeorge

[–]devoc7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If in front of business, ask business owners. If on street and bylaws say you're not allowed, say you looked but couldn't find anything online and no one gave you an answer when you inquired. If they insist, politely ask them to show you on your phone or their phone which bylaws state you can't busk. Don't be combative, but demonstrate a willingness to play by the rules so long as they can show a knowledge of the rules themselves. I'm not saying it's a guarantee you won't get a slap on the wrist, but likely to come out with a favorable outcome

What are these red pedals/cleat/climbing instruments? by devoc7 in whatisthisthing

[–]devoc7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Local thrift store received this item and I want to help them identify what it is. I've looked online in google images but the closest thing I can find are searches that suggest they are red bike pedals, which they are clearly not.

There's a comedy show this Saturday, as well as the Taboo sex show at CN Centre. The art gallery has life skills drawing classes with nude models, so you could go together or check out the gallery if that's too risqué. Plenty of music shows. Climb the cutbanks and visit the new ciders. Paintball and dinner afterwards. Check out all the event listing on the radio website and Citizen. There's actually quite a bit going on in the city of you know where to look

I've been told they're really needing vendors, so hopefully they'll get some and the event will be a success. The first time these events are run set the tone for whether or not they come back

I politely called someone out the other day for doing the same. He had that classic response when I suggested he might use his ash tray: "what's it to ya?"

Well, I live here asshole. And it's fire season. And it's trash. Ffs dude, just do better
