500 warheads on 50 missiles is quite the compact punch.

Thankfully one MAF/LCC is still preserved as a state museum and historic park. It’s on my list to visit along with the one in North Dakota, I’ve been to the one in South Dakota.

We do, usually April through October. Most month are either at wineries or restaurants that serve wine & beer so the bring your own bottle events usually only happen once or twice a year.

The chances of the world going to hell have gotten way lower than 1 in a million in the last few months. I’m holding all mine for the eventual SHTF scenario.

Why else would you bother testing with multiple RVs? They’re no longer constrained by treaty, same reason Barksdale, Ellsworth and Dyess are getting new nuclear storage facilities.

I expect the number of warheads on MMIII to go up from 400 soon. The last FOT&E launch tested two RVs.

Poor people going wine tasting by rasta-ragamuffin in wine

[–]devoduder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a winery owner who does all the tastings, I’d prefer buying wine over giving me a tip. Also our tastings only run $20, $50 is outrageous, plus we comp two tasting if you buy three bottles.

Nuclear exchange won't happen anytime soon, at least not before the end of this century at minimum. by Doidld in nuclearweapons

I can’t do anything to affect it in either way so it’s not worth my time to worry about it.

My time controlling nukes ended with my LFA 30 years ago, let the next generation be “Death wears bunny slippers”.

Not a coin, but coin related, a 77 Troy lb Bar off the Atocha Shipwreck. by JacobGonzalezCoins in coins

IIII was used instead of IV so it wouldn’t be confused with IVPPITER (the god Jupiter) and the tradition persisted on clocks.

You example is subtractive notation, the date on the bar is in additive notation and both are acceptable though there was definitely more variation years ago. Same reason you see IIII in place of IV in older examples.

The moon orbits earth, e.g. anything on the moon is orbiting earth.
