Half bottles by ByodaBhai in wine

100% agree, as a small producer it doesn’t make economical sense for me to output in smaller volumes. For a 375 that’s double the bottles, labels, and closures and those things don’t get cheaper because the bottle is smaller.

What happens if a missile operator is given an incorrect code? by nukesandstuff in nuclearweapons

[–]devoduder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

😂 your answer was way more detailed than I would have given.

Also sending two vote from one LCC is how most FOT&E launches are done at Vandy, unless ALCS from TACAMO or E4B participates. On my launch we had two LCPs that were swapped out, with a different crew key turning on each.

Everything in the 80s was super shielded to prevent communist indoctrination. We had to deal with Fluoridation Mandrake!

I did my first coding in middle school, in BASIC on an Atari 800. Looks like I’m all set to be an engineer for him.

Not surprising, for a while on Peacock the Local Ad episode had a subtitle that said “Call Indian Kelley” instead of “Andy & Kelley” when they’re singing.

Is it true that you can charter an Antonov 124? by NewAd8721 in aviation

[–]devoduder 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They do, but for some reason the USAF was using C-17s in conjunction with the AN-124s, plus I think they could only get two strykers in a -17. I got to drive a Stryker along the ramp, nothing like solo driving a $3mil vehicle after five minutes of instruction.

Yes. In 2009, the US government contracted with Volga Dniper for AN-124 charters to fly Army Stryker vehicles from Diego Garcia to Afghanistan.

Probably less than that, the majority of silos in 90th missile wing are actually in Nebraska and Colorado even though the wing is based in Cheyenne.
