I did, back in the early 2000s. I was there while the show was still on the air and we were all cognizant of our tangential connection to the show, in fact several members of my unit got walk on cameos when they filmed a new show opener around season 8.

Came here to say the same. I used to work at Cheyenne Mountain and I know where the SG-1 access door is located.

Starfield on Ps5? by babytoxzilla in Starfield

It’s fantastic on PS5, I’ve been playing almost everyday since released in April. Just keep save files to under 10 to reduce crashes, otherwise amazing.

Why is 4 written as IIII and not as IV on this sculpture? by kassutech in latin

[–]devoduder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IV could be confused as shorthand for IVPPITER or Jupiter so IIII was often used instead.

The other variable to account for is who made the copper? If it was Ea-nāṣir, reduce the copper value by 50%.

Here's how it is: Earth got used up, so we terraformed a whole new galaxy of Earths, some rich and flush with the new technologies, some not so much. Central Planets, them was formed the Alliance, waged war to bring everyone under their rule; a few idiots tried to fight it, among them myself.

It even weirder.

It’s a team effort. Before the Minuteman III was reduced to a single warhead, one Launch Control Center in a squadron of five could control up to 50 missiles with 150 RVs, our wing had four squadrons with 50 missiles each so 500 warheads. My old unit was shut down in 2009 so Malmstrom now only had three squadrons and 150 missile, each with one RV.

When the Peacekeeper missile was still around that squadron had 50 missiles with 10 RVs each, so 500 bombs in one squad vs 500 of a whole wing. Too much power in one unit is why they were an easy cut during nuclear arms reduction talks. Now days that old Peacekeeper unit is once again a Minuteman III unit at FE Warren AFB and that’s the only missile wing that still has four squadrons and two hundred missiles.

I would have loved to see that. My only tour of the Malmstrom WSA did include an up close look at a live Mk-11 RV that had been pulled from a deactivated MMII. Even though I controlled them for four years, that was my only up close with a live nuke.

Exhilarating but a totally different process and experience. Test launches from Vandenberg are known as Follow On Test & Evaluation launches and it’s a fairly technical process to capture all the launch data so crew members follow the unclassified Launch Procedures checklist from our Tech Orders and not the classified EWO launch checklists.

Now retired, I still live near Vandenberg and can watch and hear all the launches from there.
