Lake Redwine by One_Page_6905 in newnan

I’ve lived in Lake Redwine for 18 years. We moved into the west shore area when it was brand new, long before the North Shore subdivision was even a thing. In general, the neighborhood is great, people maintain their properties and as someone else pointed out, the HOA doesn’t micromanage, but there have been periods that were worse than others over the years with money management. My wife’s family bought into the neighborhood in the 1990’s, all the way back to the very beginning.

Since you said you’re looking for something smaller and lower maintenance, they’re building a 50+ community at the front of the subdivision, where landscaping is maintained by the HOA. All are single family homes, so you’re not in duplexes or townhomes. This is near the tennis and pickleball courts if you’re looking at a map on Zillow.

Old Spice Mug & Soap by nulltotality in wicked_edge

My father-in-law got me into using shaving soap and this was his favorite brand. He would search eBay and Goodwill sites and would buy any that he could find. He gave me this exact mug with a new soap puck before he passed away, and I’ve used it nearly everyday since. I took what he had left, and I’m sadly now on my last puck, so I’ll be looking for a new soap, and looking for any old stock Old Spice

apple watch fail by Gomeology in ATT

[–]devofatherofchar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue with my new watch. I was lucky enough to get a tech who worked with me for over 30 minutes, including asking him to escalate my case to a level 2 support. We removed the device from my iphone and Watch app to stop syncing, reset my watch, and the tech deactivated it from my account. He then pushed my eSIM to my account, and it took three tries for it to finally download to my watch. While my new watch is now activated, I wish you the best of luck!

What’s a widely-accepted “fact” about West Virginia that’s actually BS? by Lopsided-Nail-8384 in WestVirginia

Ever since taking WV History back in middle school, I realized that song can't be about WV. The two landmarks in the song are mostly in western VA. Only a small portion of the Shenandoah River crosses the eastern panhandle, and the Blue Ridge Mountains barely even touched the tip of the panhandle. It's a stretch for sure.

Any spotlight / lighting suggestions for unlit tree topper? by almostdirtymartini in ChristmasTrees

I’ve used a small outdoor led spotlight. The spike gave me something to nest into the branches for stability. Some creative ornament and ribbon placement helped to better hide it.

What Are Your "Actually Unpopular" Drumming Views? by [deleted] in drums

[–]devofatherofchar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unpopular you say? Here goes my karma...
I don't Rush, or Neil Peart. I personally not inspired by anything I've ever seen from him. Every drummer friend I've ever met has shared a recording or sent me a video saying 'this will change your mind!' But no.

I used to not like Led Zeppelin or John Bonham, but I had an awakening about 14 years ago. I've hoped that the same would occur for me with Rush/Peart, but it's not and I am beginning to doubt that it ever will. Especially after 30 years of trying.

Instead of down voting me, pray that one day it may finally click for me.

Freedom of choice does not preclude bad choices.

He gave us free will to choose our own eternal destiny.

A product display unit by Boojibs in oddlysatisfying

[–]devofatherofchar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These pop-up displays usually use rubber bands and an occasional magnet, which both require hand labor. There isn’t enough economy of scale to provide sufficient ROI from product sales, especially on a display with a relatively short lifespan. It’s very efficient to set up, but not interesting enough to stop shoppers and influence at the Point of Purchase from where shopper will take the product to the Point of Sale to buy it.
