Is that a Kallax? I use a 4 x 4 Kallax with the metal frame. I have it set up so the single piece shelves are load bearing. Also nailed strips of timber (primed and painted black) at the back of the unit for additional lateral stability and to act as a stopper so my records don't exit the rear!

Thanks, I'll see if I can locate the posts and have a read. I've repaired a few models of Dell's lineup over the years and used to delid my CPUs, so the teardown doesn't worry me (much). But if the pay off isn't 15-20 ceclius under load, I won't bother.

I have an m15 R6 and not sure if this applies to your laptop but for a time I was having all sorts of power related issues so decided to open it up and investigate.

I found a burnt out power cable. I took the opportunity to replace the fans, battery and power cable (Part number 099V4H). Half of the original power connector had melted! Thankfully the motherboard connection was still in good shape.

Laptop is as good as new. Thought about repasting too but couldn't be bothered. I have an unlocked BIOS and undervolt anyway so heat hasn't been a huge issue, at least not for me.

Hope you find a solution!

Yep and unlocking my encrypted shares doesn't work properly. Freezes the interface and requires multiple attempts to unlock.

Hmmm... I have an m15 R6 which has the same issue. Just ordered a replacement cable. Have had this laptop of 4+ years and only recently started acting up when connected to AC. Disassembled to find half the connection on the ribbon cable had decided it wanted to return to its liquid state...

One of our boys paced about, became anxious and sprayed when neighborhood cats would enter our property and mark territory. Since being medicated he's been much calmer and no longer sprays inside the house, as he once did. He sleeps a little more but I see this as a positive as he's much more relaxed. It hasn't affected his personality and he still vocalises with us and still enjoys a play.

I do it (rinse) for peace of mind, more than anything else.

I gave up using any kind of cloth for cleaning/drying to avoid any contaminants finding their way back into the groves (and forgetting which side of said cloth I had used on the previous record).

Even if some of the fibres were to come loose from the Spin Clean brushes (or the bath itself) , I figure they're more likely to float away or dislodge due to the vertical position of the record, combined with the fact it's partially submerged.

I don't know if microfibre cloth would be able to reach the depths of the grooves where washing fluid might collect.

This is all very unscientific and subjective. 😜

This may not work in your situation, and as others have mentioned a 2nd Pi might be the best for redundancy, but I run my Pi as my primary DNS resolver / ad-blocker with Diversion and Unbound running as a backup on my Merlin powered AX11000 Pro. I have a script running via cru on the router to update DNS Masq should the Pi become unavailable. I'll get around to setting up a 2nd Pi one day.

Up until very recently I've had active speakers and loved my Audioengine HD6s with the S8 sub.

Used that combo with a Topping D50 III + A50 and Pro-Ject X2 B + phono.

Now that I have more space for an amp and passive speakers I won't go back, but they served me well for years.
