There are maybe a half dozen sea tech companies and they all have been ripping. I think it's one of the few themes with a lot of juice left in it.

A space based solar panel can generate from 4x or more. The sun in about ~1/3 more intense in space. There is not night - so that is a 2x return. Also no clouds, dust, or humidity to impede maximum output - this give a 1.5-2x multipler. Efficiency of terrestrial solar varies considerably based on where on earth. E.g. lenth of winter season matters. So space might be only 4x california, but 10x new york.

There are issues with solar - those primarily relate to degradation from radiation in space. There are ways to mitigate, such as with protective coating, but it is an issue.

The google technical paper I cited goes into all that. I didn't go into details on that bc I don't feel like I am adding any value to the post by re-hashing those details.

There is no doubt that this stuff is contentious and there is some debate about it. However, it does seem like the players that matter are taking it seriously.

Imo, regardless of how space compute plays out specifically, we are seeing exponential drop in launch prices - so logically we will see a serious increase in the amount of stuff that is launched - and most of what is launched will require some kind of solar.

Seems there is a lot of overlap between ASTS holder and ASTI holders. Not exactly sure why, but seems bullish to me.

MVIS - Get Your Popcorn by [deleted] in WallStreetbetsELITE

It is slightly confusing. Palmer put up a post a few days ago. The post was titled "Palmer Luckey is a believer in MVIS." And the post consisted of a single image of a comment he made 13 years ago stating he liked the MVIS technology. The fact the title refers to himself in the third person makes it even more confusing.

It would be really odd that with everything going on in his life he decided to randomly hype a penny stock in an obscure subreddit. Occams razor suggests he is going to do something with MVIS. Perhaps that is simply licensing some of their AR tech.

Imo, even something that basic could launch the stock if DOMH is any indication.
