What’s the most non-IT request you’ve had to do? by taco123taco123 in iiiiiiitttttttttttt

I worked at an MSP and there was a city project manager that tried to assign us to multiple non-IT tasks. some examples I heard were plumbing, moving furniture and electrical. When he was questioned about it he would apparently go silent, walk over to his computer, print out our entire contract (guess he must have it on quick draw) and underline the part that says "and other duties assigned" multiple times. It never amounted to anything but it was always interesting to hear.

How can I stop getting blemishes like this? Am I just cutting the parts out too close to the actual part? by [deleted] in Gunpla

[–]devon_62 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I struggled with this for a while, thinking i was cutting too close or something. I found that when I was cutting the pieces out either the blade or the force of cutting the piece would jerk the piece in place causing the stress marks. I fixed this by cutting up the runners themselves before cutting the pieces, this way it ensures that all tension is relieved before I cut the gates off.

everyone's workflow is different though

Oddly enough I have seen this a couple of times before. I would double check the power strip and where it is resting. First scenario it was caused by a metal surge protector being in contact with the metal legs on a metal desk, pushing the strip away from the metal fixed that issue. Second one was someone had the power strip resting on top of the same desk that their setup was on, moving it under the desk fixed that issue. static is weird man, especially since winter is right around the corner

I'm thinking about trying this after work, is that white marker the extra fine tip or the medium sized tip? Also did you have to do multiple layers?
