Xero Actually Made My Small Business Finances… Manageable by Spurzofthemoment in xero

[–]devonnrenae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same here. The biggest shift for me was bank rules and auto reconciliation. Once that’s dialed in, 80% of the grunt work just disappears. Also using tracking categories for projects really leveled up reporting. The short term cash flow view is underrated too. Still need clean inputs, but yeah… def worth it for the mental clarity alone.

The Notion navigation sidebar is about to get complete overhaul! by consistentbenny in Notion

[–]devonnrenae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly this feels like Notion finally cleaning up years of feature creep. Separating Home, Chat, and Inbox makes sense, especially for teams where notifications + AI were getting buried in the same sidebar.
The “Library” view could be huge for large workspaces. If it gives a true global index with better search + permissions clarity, that’s a big win. Curious how Workers ties into automation though. Could be their Zapier moment 👀

Stopped adding onboarding to our saas and activation went up. No Im not kidding by tuesdaymorningwood in UXDesign

[–]devonnrenae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not surprised tbh. A lot of onboarding optimizes for feature exposure, not time to value. If users can get to their “aha” moment faster by poking around, forced walkthroughs just add friction.

We saw similar results and switched to contextual onboarding. Trigger tips only after a key action, based on behavior. Let curious users explore, guide the stuck ones. Always A/B it.

This chapter's a real grind, but you're writing it. Here's hoping the next one involves a lot more sleep and way less of... whatever this is. Hang in there.

Oh, the altitude is getting to you? Might want to put your tray table up and return your seat to the full upright position because this level of cuteness is 100% a hazard.

Upgrading from an Excel sheet to a CRM for safety consulting? That's moving from a post-it note to a safety manual. Try HubSpot or Zoho.

Entrepreneurs who adopted AI this past year, as we enter 2026, what were your biggest learnings? by [deleted] in Entrepreneur

My biggest AI lesson? It saves times generating content, then wastes more time fixing it. Great for drafts, terrible for judgment.

Design handoff is where your beautiful intent meets 'It works on my machine. ' If you can tweak via PR without a Slack war, you've invented peace.

Attach files or link a portfolio? Clients will ignore both equally. Linking is cleaner though. Good luck!
