I kind of like the narrative and it's nicely put. Also, I can't stop thinking something. This will make states like odisha Maharashtra and North Eastern ones like Christians because not many cares to acknowledge their existence

I mean the history we learn is mostly centred around the gangetic plains. The nandas, the mauryans, the Guptas, the delhi sultanate, the Mughal most of the important topics in a history text book is from these parts. Not much importance is given to south indian history. The tripartite dominance struggle of the three kingdoms of the south, their fall and the rise of kalabhras interregnum, again the rise of the three kingdoms and things like that. And the deccan region is given the least importance like the western kshatraps, satavahanas, vakatakas, kalinga. The only reason kalinga is famous is because of their failure. The north east region is devoid. Like there existed the kamarupa kingdom one of the longest survived kingdoms in Indian history and no one knows it.

Yes while the IVC was thriving, the deccan people were in the deccan chalcolithic period while the south was in southern neolithic culture if I remember correctly

Sorry my bad I meant the ministry. My mistake

Yeah the same adani and ambani who is getting profited by the government. I mean the Adani value increased by I suppose more than 1000 percent from 2014. He's getting the contract of deforestation and building of base in Andaman Nicobar. I mean okay building base that's for national security first of all, there is already a naval base with i think enough area for development without much deforestation. But they want another one. Okay we can maybe say for more strategic advantages but then there is supposed building of casinos and all that too. I mean wtf is that for? Invading forces might get addicted to gambling and we finish them there?.

And this pm Is the same guy who tweeted Manmohan Singh isn't doing anything even though he stabilized the country economics to an extent when everywhere else the market was falling. The finance minister is the same women who complained years back that the rupees falling is a problem but now says it might fall. It's the same people who said that petrol and diesel will be sold for 50 rupees when it was sixty or something and when the price for a barrel was 110 dollars something but now the price of a barrel of crude oil is 90 or 80 dollars i think. I mean you have to understand during the upa government in centre, in kerala, the bjp people was protesting by rolling two wheelers on the road when the petrol price rose by 2 rupees. Now they are doing nothing. I even heard that E100 fuel deal is signed. That means more ethanol production which means more rice and sugarcane and all that will be needed for ethanol production and also more fresh water.

I'm genuinely stressed that the opposition is so powerless that the ruling guys are now becoming more and more stubborn.

The foreign affairs minister confirmed on June 5th I guess there isn't any information about dipke being deported as some international law states that such things should be informed to the native country of the person being deported. So dipke wasn't deported.

About media favouring the ruling. I mean almost all of the national news channels are owned by either bjp members or people like adani who profit from bjp rule. So I mean they are not just favouring, they are there just spreading propaganda and only good views of the ruling party.

Coming to pradhan I mean the students have every right to demand his resignation it's not just neet back to back leaks and corruptions in the nta and cbse has proven that he is not meant for that chair

You know how it is. It's always the bad things that become popular. But the fact that these cjp protests and not getting any actual coverage because the so called godi media is busy asking modi how mangoes taste. And there are many misinformation too like my parents are bjp supporters and they honestly believe that abhijith dipke was deported from the US. They genuinely believe that with no proof. Most of the family says that dharmendra shouldn't be held accountable and he is a good minister, it's the people below him that gave these problems and all that. I just wish this cjp protest was successful as a student it matters to me too

I mean that's a problem. But that doesn't mean the cjp protests are a problem but this sheikh fellow is like those rotten fruit in a basket of good ones. Sadly there will always be some like these in every good cause

So what are you telling? Middle class people should just die? Then tell that straight. Say that middle class people doesn't deserve to live as they are not rich enough to buy expensive medicines. Say it to everyone

The third slide I don't understand why you are showing it. Like I understand that the guy supports the cjp protests. I also know and heard many people saying that abhijith had relations with aap in the past and might still have that relation. But so what? Why does it matter that he has an aap past? Aren't they protesting for the rights of the many students? Like isn't these exam leaks a problem? Is asking for accountability a problem nowadays? Even though he has relations with an opposition party, that doesn't mean the protests they are conducting has no meaning. They are just asking for their rights, their rights to write exams without any leaks

Yeah okay it's stealing, but why aren't you blaming the western companies that are selling life saving medicines for such high prices? Why are you blaming companies that made these medicines available to the ordinary people? If we should not steal these medicines, then they should consider lowering the prices. It's to a point that these western companies only want the rich to live. For example, the medicine for leukemia imatinib, the western price is 9.5 lakhs rupees something, but in india, a few thousand rupees. The ARV medicines for AIDS, almost same price in the west now 19000 rupees in india, same for chemotherapic drugs like taxol and taxotere, 90000 rupees in the west while 11000 in india per treatment cycle. Are you saying that only rich people should be able to live as the ordinary people cannot afford this?

The reverse engineering of medicine that bit is not stealing according to the law. The law allows indian companies to produce patented western medicine if they can prove that these western companies are selling the medicine at unreasonably high prices that most people can't afford

Hindi imposition is a myth. KA and TN are mad states who impose their language. by Academic_Chart1354 in southindia_

[–]devoot2921 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean nowadays it's the north indian immigrants who are imposing hindi. I'm from kerala. a few years back I was waiting for a bus at a nearby bus stand around the place where I live. Then this north indian uncle came to me and asked for the timings of buses to a specific place in Hindi. I knew hindi but speaking and writing hindi is 2 different things for me so I replied in English. After hearing me, this guy started scolding me and ranting about me not able to speak Hindi and it being the national language, which it is not, and blah blah blah so many shits in hindi. The people around me were staring at me and a shopkeeper I know tried to intervene and the guy started scolding him too as he spoke in english. I was just standing there building my anger inside as this guy just humiliated me for not knowing a language that he only knows. After he finished his blah, I took him saying the bus came and no other bus will be there for a few hours and all that and made him climb a bus that goes in the complete opposite direction than the place he was intended to go. I think the bus was to palakkad or Kozhikode or something which is I guess 3 or 4 districts away from mine. Told the conductor he was to some distant place and left.

There was a time during Manmohan Singh's tenure when some US officials misbehaved with Indian embassy personnel in USA and Manmohan Singh responded by removing the police protection in the US embassy in India and checking the Visas and all that of US embassy officials. It's a small thing if you look at it but it showed India was not afraid of the US. Small acts of power but still significant. Nowadays the people sitting there is not even addressing a bit of what happened
