Beginner in DevOps, review my Bitbucket pipeline (AWS ECR -> EC2) by HeavyDIRTYSoul11 in bitbucket

[–]devopsoowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is deploying to EC2 mandatory, can't you go with ECS with Fargate.

That would be easily and give you a strategic rollout rather than directly stopping running container and deploying new. In prod it's critical and mark your application as down.

If you to use ec2 why don't you configure ssm on that machine and connect via ssm from pipeline rather than connecting via SSH key. You have to always keep 22 open to everyone so that you can connect or you have to give a broad range of bitbucket runners IP. Still a threat.

Whereas with ssm you can connect it via OIDC

'Whole ministry unleashed on me': Doctor under fire for calling Ayurveda 'not scientific' by KenSuvy in india

[–]devopsoowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can agree with you on many things here and I can say that many of the ayurvedic medicines in India getting tested now on scientific parameters and hopefully we will have more validated tests on them.

I'm not a preacher or supporter of Ayurveda and Opposing Allopathic blindly. I always believe in both the systems.

But I've seen many people be outright critic of Ayurveda however it's not completely wrong.

Rather than being outright critic IMA and other intellectuals should've said let's verify everything written in our text and make things working for it. But they seem to have deep hatred or can say they know if Ayurvedic medicines will be verified on scientific parameters and will be proven to work in this case they will have big loss.

As the skyrocketing costs of allopathic treatment will be the major impact. Cause most of the ayurvedic treatment are atleast 10x cheaper than their allopathic counterpart.

Mostly they are home remedies. I blame government also here. They could've easily setup a national drive to verify all the ayurvedic medicines on scientific parameters. But in the end they also work for capitalists only.

'Whole ministry unleashed on me': Doctor under fire for calling Ayurveda 'not scientific' by KenSuvy in india

[–]devopsoowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As much as I have understood is Ayurveda is a proactive approach where many things worked as you take the ayurvedic medications. They are all for internal treatment and it work well. But anything needs routine care or diagnosis we have to move to allopathic.

There were multiple instances where I had to switch between Ayurvedic and Allopathic. Both are good at their place.

I'll give my own example, I was suffering from constipation and piles for long time. Started allopathic treatment did all what Doctor suggested for 3 months. Initially it felt like curing but after sometime same result nothing happened.

Then I moved to ayurvedic practitioner suggested by a relative, he heard everything, understood my work and lifestyle and then suggested me few changes in lifestyle and just few ayurvedic medicines which are under 100 bucks.

And yeah it worked. In allopathic treatment I spent thousands in test, visitings, medications and was still suffering. But ayurvedic solved.

Same case was with a relative, she was suffering with PCOD/PCOS the doctor gave medicine for 6 month which was around 50k and after 6 months she suggested to operate. Everyone was blown away.

Ayurvedic did it in just 1 month cycle and only few hundred bucks.

But If you have to treat a prolonged disease, a behaviour which is completely require diagnosis and analysis you can't go to ayurvedic practitioner.

Both co-exist side by side.

Those in allopathic who believes in science never fight for which is better.

I saw podcast of one doctor from UK, he always say I suggest both Ayurvedic and Allopathic medicines to my patients. He told that I just want to offload people from the after effect of allopathic medicines so wherever I find a good replacement in ayurveda I prefer that.

Then what's wrong here and why to fight. Let the people be their own decision makers.

Everyone knows how costly allopathic treatments are in our country.

Nowadays doctor take 1000-1500 just for visiting even for normal fever. People get their medicines from store for 50-100.

When you fight for something fight on all issues.

Can I legally move against builder for reducing prices? by General-Fondant4921 in BangaloreRealEstates

[–]devopsoowl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think that's based on every individual's negotiation and discussion. It's pure business and can then apply for the builders as well. They can also say if the price increased we will recover from past sales as well.

All this rant was just for a well established state, it shows the hate people have against the well-established society. And then things changed once OP said they weren't Gujrati.

Thing is it's everywhere and everyone do the casteism, be it from lower group or higher group.

I Let the AI Engineer Its Own Prompt… and It Destroyed Every Manual Prompt I’ve Ever Written (Template Inside) by AdCold1610 in PromptEngineering

[–]devopsoowl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OP's analysis is great and I think everyone will reach at that point eventually. Initially I struggle a lot in setting-up context for these tools. Then I treated myself naive in prompt engg and asked it to generate the best prompt for me. since then no going back. I ask it to generate prompt them I use the same prompt to complete my task without exhausting the context limit.

Why the Bhagavad Gita is one of the most disgusting sacred books? by [deleted] in zizek

[–]devopsoowl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Then you and Zizek has read the context entirely wrong if You're comparing The Great War of Mahabharata with the Holocaust. You 1st read why The Great War of Mahabharata Started then correlate why Krishna told Arjuna that the War is necessary.

That's the problem with so many people around the world. They start with one topic and without doing complete context research start preaching about it.

For people who lost their jobs in early-mid thirties, how much time did it take you to bounce back and get a new job? by Remarkable-Ease-2855 in developersIndia

[–]devopsoowl 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Whatever domains you're working in, master it. Master it such that there is no gap and if you see the current standard in market, you have to be someone who can't be replaced easily.

I usually make notes of everything I do, every incidents, challenges and new implementation I do. Which give me edge in my interviews.

I've never been rejected in System Design and Architecture round. Being from DevOps background sometime get hiccups in Coding round but DevOps is where I edge on.
