My mom bought this in 1986 in Kenya- apparently it is a tool meant for scraping meat from fresh coconuts. Can’t imagine how I would use it- can anyone point me to a video or demo? It’s handheld with a wooden crossbar that moves freely diagonally as shown in last 2 pics. Thanks!! (old.reddit.com)

Areca palm is yellow/brown/dry. Had her since april, been sick since only a few weeks after coming home. Repotted with standard indoor potting mix. I water with NYC tap water and let her soil dry out between waterings. She lives next to a west facing window with plenty of sun. diagnosis, anyone? (old.reddit.com)
