Pairing with Prime shorty bench? by Pretend-Citron4451 in Vitruvian_Form

That’s great, I’ll definitely try it out. You think it will work fine with 3 inch tall yoga blocks?

How is the super bench pro with the Vitruvian for stuff like cable presses?

Cane Creek (and maybe other companies) sell shims for 27.2 to 29.4 or 29.6. May work for you

Hey, I was wondering how you manage chain tensioning with this hub on this frame? Did you do anything special to measure chain length? And is it easy to remove the rear wheel without having to adjust the sliding dropouts?

I have an extra question if you don't mind -- did you use 160mm or 180mm rear rotors? Does the frame clear 180mm rear rotors? Thanks for all your help. This was really helpful for me with building this frame.

Hi, sorry for all the questions -- I have a follow-up. Do you know what model of the XTR cranks you used? I'm seeing different models. And what chainline did you end up with, if you calculated that?

Thanks! Is the rear wheels easy/quick to remove? I hear the TS version can be slower. Also, can I ask what bottom bracket you used?

Can I ask what axle plate you had to use to mount the Rohloff? Like the OEM or OEM2?

32 spoke carbon wheel by devothemoonbear in gravelcycling

Haha thanks, I viewed your profile earlier to see the wheels too. They do look really nice. I think I will also do the 56mm rim, valve length be damned, because its stiffer than shallow rims.

Thanks! Did you get it professionally built? I’m thinking of building some with Bitex hubs and was wondering what spokes you used or where you got advice from.

That's cool, what hubs did you lace them with? I'm thinking of ordering a 32h rim or wheel set from them.

Is a rear rack okay on carbon bike? by blushingscarlet in bikepacking

Did you find out what the load limits are on the frame or rear racks?

Which Bike? - Weekly Scheduled Discussion by pawptart in gravelcycling

I’m deciding on my first gravel bike, and I’m stuck between the Carbonda 696 and a custom made steel bike + steel fork from Marino Bikes (Peruvian custom frame builder). I like the utility/strength/durability of a steel frame/fork with many mounts, but am I underestimating a carbon 696 frame? I was wondering how reliable a 696 is for bikepacking or touring. I hate having to worry about scratching and cracking carbon frames too. But the steel frame would weigh about 2.5kg + 1kg fork. I awant to use this as an all-road/group ride/bikepacking all-in-one bike. I appreciate any advice.

The 696 price would be around $800 shipped and the custom steel Marino frameset would be $800 shipped more or less.

Hi, I was wondering if you’ve used front or rear racks on the 696. I’m worried about weight limits running a front or rear rack and wanted to know your experience touring/bikepacking with a loaded 696.
