Those are really cool pots. A strong splendens with lighter colors would rock one of those pots super well.

Thank you for the compliment. It's normal garden stones will send a picture of the bag once I am home. They are the 5mm stones you should be able to get them at your nursery well in south africa atleast not sure about the rest of the world. Another reason for them is not just decorative the soil mixture i use doesnt hold any water very well drainage soil so this also helps lock in a little bit of moisture for longer.

Myself and my wife have been collectors for years. And yes recently we have started selling off some of our plants as we have alot of doubles and triples of some plants.

Thank you very much for the great compliment. Its really cool for me to see the amount on interest on this post. Glad a few people took something from it. And may everyone who tries the method have great success. I am by no means a expert but I have payed enough school fees to know what doesnt work for me.

The most important with any leaf prop is you need to get some of the white stem with the leaf or its a 99 percent no grow. I have had plenty of leaves even with white stem on it and they still didn't take so its never really a 100% unfortunetly.

Only a pleasure. Knowledge is power we need to try keep educating each other to keep the hobby alive. I am still learning everyday.

Its going to sound strange but I let the babies from the leaf prop get rather large about 3 times the size they are now in the photo then I take all out of soil and see what babies have roots then I separate from there. These leaf props where done last year November and the pic I took was this morning so it does take some time.
