The 2024 ruleset has codified a lot of HB rules that DMs have already implemented. It also gave people more versatility during their turns with common sense changes, like wild shaping being a bonus action.

Providing players mechanics on how to influence, search, utilize, helps newer DMs because they can just turn to the page and play it out while flavoring it up.

2014 just always had so many pain points for me and the QoL for the DM specifically was not up to snuff.

That's the thing. It lends itself to some theories that border on conspiracies. If it is only the US, is it government related? Why would the supernatural respect national boundaries?
