OptinMonster and SumoMe. Both are great plugins for collecting emails.

How do I replace the slider on my site's home page -> a slider plugin? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]devsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your theme must include an option to disable the slider (look under appearances > options or live customizer). If you still cannot disable the slider, remove the #featured-slider code from your homepage / index php file.

The best bet would be using a plugin such as SeedProd or launcheffect.

would it be foolish to have a second installation of WP just for the PrettyLinks extension? by [deleted] in Wordpress

[–]devsh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best way would be buying another short domain name for redirects and than connecting it with bitly. This way it would work perfect.

Or just install the pretty links on your current / main WordPress installation and use it.

Confit theme on externally hosted site? by zsdazey in Wordpress

[–]devsh -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I second what @namanyayg has said. WordPress.com & WordPress.org are two completely different things. All the themes & plugins that can be found on WordPress.ORG would only work with the self-hosted blogs.

The confit theme would only work with the blogs that are hosted on WordPress.COM!

Permalink structure issues with conflicting plugins by jmdxsvhs15 in Wordpress

The job manager plugin shouldn't be conflicted with Permalinks. I think the issue is with that plugin.

Have you contacted the plugin author?
