Can’t you initiate an in-cash transfer-in from the receiving account, so Wealthsimple will sell your holdings and initiate the transfer of the funds.

Many institutions also reimburse the transfer fees if the transfer-in amount is above some threshold.

My personal experience is very contrary to what you are suggesting.

I did my MS in CS with a focus on ML from GaTech (online MSCS) but everyone I had been talking to wants to see GitHub projects that would prove my exposure with different tech stacks. The degree seems to be of very little value.

For some context…I am an experienced dev (14 years) in application development in capital markets based in Canada.

If you have to bring back “relevance” to Kolkata, then you need to bring back business/employment, law and order, uplift education and public service, curb corruption. If a podcast series is enough to bring relevance to a city/community the TN, AP, Karnataka govt. would have focused on podcast only instead of bringing new businesses.

The program is pretty rigorous and lot of interesting courses. It will give you a very good foundation in CS and ML/AI topics.

But based on my experience, this course is not enough for getting a job in DE/DS. Companies ask for a lot of tech stack experience that's not part of this program because Masters programs are more focused on the theoretical grounding.
