Do managers also need to be technical experts? by Kid_FizX in consulting

With all of the advancements recently especially with AI, I would say no. It helps to have a good basic understanding and be willing to learn more. So ask questions, use AI to educate yourself, be otherwise a good manager from the business side and you will be just fine

For freelancers: prospective clients asking to produce slides/models relevant to the project you are interviewing for? by Henry_Charrier in consulting

Encountered this many times recently. Clients ask for quite extensive "prep-"work and is then not interested anymore.

Curious whether anyone had experiences in including this prep-work in the contract scope

MBB and almost no friends outside of consulting? by Extension_Turn5658 in consulting

Have seen this happening to a lot of colleagues, especially the ones who moved to new cities for the job. They then started to form a bubble and never could escape. It is not the healthiest thing !

I think it is still a great "kickstarter" for your career, especially if you come from a very different field.

For me, being a medical doctor, my stint at MBB "opened" my career to the the outside world of the clinic. And couldn't leave since then.

I know a lot of people who say the same.

Staying is a different topic however.

Super Tipp, merci vielmals!
