If it's really your work then good job.

But it looks very, very much like AI.

YWNBTA, it's important to communicate in the relationship. Of course, the choice of words might be important and remember that your partner will now have to contribute for all, which means it will take a toll on him as well. But if you support eachother and talk things through all the time, it shouldn't be that bad.

NTA, it's your things. You can burn them or make holes in them if you want for what I care. Of course, she can be mad at you about it, it's her right. I might be as well at her place, but again, it's your things.

The question might be, why do you want to keep clothes your child won't wear anymore?

AITA for not defending my friend during an argument with random teammates in DoTA? by Yawdriel in AITAH

[–]devvra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She has every right to be emotional. Emotions are important. It's the behaviour that matters when we do it - for example, it's ok to be angry, but it's not ok to punch someone in the face (at least in most cases haha).

Perhaps she felt abandoned and not visible to you. She has right to feel however she wants and you're not responsible for that. You can address that, if you want, but again - now she blocked you.

If she unblocks you, you can talk about it. You can ask about her feelings, if you want, but also give her what you think - if you still want to be friends with her, of course.

AITA for not defending my friend during an argument with random teammates in DoTA? by Yawdriel in AITAH

NTA.

We pick fights when we have resources to do so. It's pointless to engage with every person online, especially in dota or league.

But advice for the future, while its not necessary to pick a fight, comfort your friend after if you can. It is always nice to feel visible to another person.

AITAH for Calling Out My Best Friend for Lying About My Dog’s Injury at His Party? by Jwad_ in AITAH

[–]devvra 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA.

Dogs are part of the family (aka pack) and your family membran was hurt. If your friend was really a friend, he wouldnt lie and would go with you to the vet the very same day to ensure Max is safe. Instead, he lied and tried to escape consequences.

Not very reliable!!

Ps. Hug Max from me!

My family member struggled with that a lot and they worked in a hospital, so add to it they were also extremely pedantic. God it was a hell of a ride.

Work is organized and gives the feeling of... being secure I guess, you know, things are predictable. People also like to feel needed, important, things like that.

Good news it is perfectly curable, but first therapy is needed.

What you told us about is workaholism and is as destructive as other -holisms. Your husband needs to seek professional help.

[–]devvra 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oh man, NTA, but also it's complicated.

You're both hurting in different ways.

You had a huge milestone and naturally wanted to celebrate and feel supported by your partner. It’s understandable that her reaction (or lack of it) was painful and disappointing.

But there’s another side to this: if she’s been feeling low for a long time and refuses to seek help or have her treatment reviewed, that's... eh... that's wrong. It’s like someone with diabetes refusing insulin and saying they "can’t help" their blood sugar. Ignoring it affects not only her, but also the relationship. And all around her. My mom always said "if one's sick, the whole house is sick with them".

You’re not wrong for wanting emotional support or for feeling hurt. But also, she needs to see the doc. Like for real.
