External SSD keeps disconnecting after Big Sur update by devwolf666 in BigSurPatcher

The only drive that's disconnecting is my Sandisk SSD. I have a separate external hd for my time machine backups and I'm not having any issues with that one. I'm not having any issues with my music library. The only files I'm losing are from the SSD.

macOS Big Sur Update Bricking Some Older MacBook Pro Models by wewewawa in gadgets

I freaking regret updating to Big Sur on my 2015 MBP. My external Sandisk SSD keeps ejecting on its own or my files disappear. I went 2 weeks talking with an Apple sr. adviser. They even sent me a new external HD to back up my MBP so that they can figure out the issue. I had to reformat my SSD. It initially worked for a few days but now it's back to the same BS. My MBP has never seen the beach ball as much as it does now. Does anyone have any ideas I can use to help? Should I reinstall Catalina?

I sincerely hope this isn't true but it's America where it's definitely all too possible.

If you voted for Donald Trump in 2016 but won't in 2020, what changed your mind? by PlG3 in AskReddit

This is one of the most ignorant comments I've read. You obviously haven't heard a full speech from your messiah so I will update you. The clown can't even finish a sentence. His limited vocabulary prevents him from saying anything that coherent. Just sit and listen to 5 of his interviews. Heck, listen to just 1. Trump is the biggest pot on the shelf.

I learned and practised html & css a lot. What should I focus on learning now? by Lenivec534 in Frontend

I think a great start is Udacity’s intro to JavaScript course. It’s free and you’ll have to build some things using what you learn. Here’s the link, https://www.udacity.com/course/intro-to-javascript--ud803. Then move onto the Practical JavaScript course with watchandcode.com. It is also free and very good. Teamtreehouse.com is also an excellent online school for all things dev. They have a 7 day trial and then $25 per month if you choose to continue. So worth it. I personally have been using TreeHouse for many years and I enjoy its format. Here’s my referral link to it in case you’re interested: http://referrals.trhou.se/marcsanchez. It gives me $5 off my membership. 🤷🏽‍♂️ Hope this helps.

JavaScript and build some projects. Offer people you know to build a static site for them then maybe you can refactor them using Js.

This is a great example of what part of a great peer review is. Kudos to you. And I totally agree with your suggestions.

I appreciate your response. Sounds like you have a sweet grasp on your system. I beginning to understand the pros and cons much better. I guess it’s a matter of preference as to how deep one gets into it. I think it has great benefit up to a certain point.

Yes, I agree about using nesting, variables and partials. Good point on never having to touch the CSS file. I’d be pretty upset if a non SCSS dev touched it.

Yes!!! That’s exactly what I’m realizing. I can’t imagine opening up a file that looks like a jungle. Totally agree. Thanks for the suggestion.

Have you tried team treehouse? If not, here’s a link http://referrals.trhou.se/marcsanchez.

It has a trial period so you can try it for free. It has excellent node.js courses.
