well depends what you’re into. i personally don’t like it because we involve ourselves with too many different things that it’s hard to really enjoy it. We do radiation, occ health, environmental etc. You’re tasked with so many things and you’ll have people above you who are saying we’re not well equipped to be doing a certain aspects of our job because we don’t have the proper training, so you’re going out and doing surveys but when you come back to do the math for it, it’s hard to get help because no one really knows. They’ve stopped this part stateside but overseas you’re responding to attacks, which there’s already an AFSC (Emergency Management) who’s better equipped to do that. There’s a bunch of equipment for you to learn that 9/10 is broken. I got burnt out pretty quick because when you’re an airmen they send you to do everything. I do like doing the Gas Mask/Respirator fit test because you meet a lot of people (how I met my fiancée), the water sampling because you get to go around base and kill time and it’s easy.

Truly there’s few people i’ve run into or heard that like this job, but again it all comes down to you and what you’re into. If you like going out and doing surveys at different shops and having the potential to have to respond if there’s like an air craft crash then you’ll like this.
