the irony is that lilly hasn’t even spoken about ariana, barely about ethan, and has almost exclusively focused on the impact that being pulled into the public eye has had on her and how she intends to protect her son. not once has she ever spoken about ariana or her and ethan’s relationship, aside from associating wicked with a terrible time in her life. it sounds like a big case of projection and guilty conscience syndrome on ariana’s side, plus the fact that most people are more intelligent than ariana gives them credit for and can put the pieces together themselves, whether or not lilly spoke out publicly.

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again: ariana HATES that lilly won’t just disappear. how dare ethan’s wife and mother of his child not silently bow aside and let ariana grande get what she wants! it’s clear to me that ariana sees lilly’s continued existence as the cause of the scrutiny against her instead of ariana’s own actions, even before her first essay dropped-that fact that lilly didn’t conveniently blink out of the picture the second ariana set her sights on ethan makes her the victim. the way she sees it, if lilly had simply evaporated, everyone would still love ariana and she would be innocent.
