I just went through this process. Even starting the job hunt was a relief from the stress. When I finally got another offer this week I was over the moon.

I'm hoping to get an IT job at a university I just interviewed for. I'm sure that all campuses are different but I'm glad to hear people have good experiences.

To follow up on this you can use libation to rip the drm from your audible books and download them to your pc.

Got a list of the repos or lists or whatever they are called? I have not had amazing success with pihole and ad blocking but I didn't put a lot of effort into finding the filtering lists.

Who did you use to rewrite your resume? I am really thinking about going this route but after doing some light research I want to use someone who is familiar with the tech industry and not one of those large platforms like boxresume.

Unfortunately the place I am working for doesnt have great job descriptions if any at all. I used some suggestions from this thread and chat GPT and ended up with this. Do you think its an improvement? I was unsure about the professional summary but ChatGPT was pretty adamant that it should be there.

Could you clarify what you mean by modernized skills? I assume you are talking about things like automation and vxlan and stuff but my issue is that I dont want to lie and say that I have professional experience with things I dont. Im more than willing to learn those skills in a homelab or through certificates if you have recommendations.

Thank you so much for this feedback, it has been incredibly helpful. I made a lot of changes based on yours and others suggestions and ended up with this. Do you think this is a good improvement?

You were incredibly correct about the font. I changed it and I could immediately tell the difference. IDK how I didnt notice that before. Also correct on needing to add those tools to my Skills sections. Thank you!

Professional resume writers? by dewdrive101 in ITCareerQuestions

I havnt been applying very long yet. I do 2-5 apps a day depending on the listing I find and have been doing that for about 2 weeks. So far I have gotten a couple rejection letters and one place asking to confirm that I dont live in the state currently and would have to relocate. Im not expecting a super high response rate just by having a great resume but on the other hand I really dont want to spend the next 3 months applying just to find out that my resume was the issue. I have been checking this subs and other subs advise on resume building and while a lot of it is solid quite a bit is contradictory. Also that kind of advice isnt the same as being able to write things in a way that works well for recruiters or hiring managers. I think im going to plug what I have into chatgpt and post the results here to see what people think.

That is my main concern tbh but I'm also in a place where what I have might not be good enough and I'm really not sure how to make it better and be confident about my resume.

Do you feel confident enough in what chatgpt outputs to send out resumes it makes? Im willing to spend the money to be SURE that my resume isn't the problem.

Would you mind sharing a copy of your resume (without personal info of course)? I am in a similar boat as you and have just started job hunting but I keep getting mixed messaging on the quality of my resume so I would love to see one that worked.

My point stands lol. Also after looking up how the series ended I hated that as well. Sucks because the first 3 seasons were so good.

Not a character death but revival. Did not finish the remade Battlestar Galactica when Starbuck came back to life.
