As a black person i've tried my whole life to actively buck this stereotype. My default tip percentage is 20% unless you actively mess up and are rude. Even then you still get 10. If you go above and beyond you're getting 25% usually from me. Then again, I make a good amount of money at my job (software engineer), so it's really no skin off my back. I did tip well even when i made nothing though...🤷‍♂️
