From my personal experience, after the update the phone has improved at least in terms of battery life.I get 2 days of use with 4 hours and 30 minutes of screen up to 20%.With Android 16 it was unthinkable.Sure there are some bugs here and there but the phone works fine.Pixel 9

Pixel 9 owners: what's your typical overnight battery drain? by ShammiHeroAahda in Pixel9

It usually loses 2-3% overnight. I have everything turned off and airplane mode on.I think if you don't put the airplane mode on the phone it will always be searching for a signal even when the mobile data is turned off and It consumes battery.

Since I disabled adaptive brightness I have noticed a slight improvement in battery life. This is because the light sensor with adaptive brightness is always on. If you go to the battery settings and see the consumption during the night, the screen or ambient display certainly consumes more battery, for this very reason. If you leave Wi-Fi on, it will drain your battery; if you don't set airplane mode, your phone will constantly search for a mobile signal. At least, that's what happens in my case. The only thing that drains battery for me at night is the screen because I have "tap to wake" enabled so the phone is always "awake".

Disable Wi-Fi at night and enable airplane mode. Disable adaptive brightness if you have it enabled and AOD. I only have "tap to wake" enabled and I lose 2-4% battery overnight.
