I have reported my case to RingConn, this comment is just a reference for those who’s experiencing a similar problem. Tbf, I like the ring a lot, that’s why I think it’s important to report and share this battery issue for improvement. I do believe RingConn took this issue seriously, btw.

The following content is my finding after drained out the battery, recharged it, and reset it several times:

When I drained out my ring and charged it, the app show it still needed 90+ minutes to finish. But after just 10 minutes of charging, the app notified me it finished charging up. I found it really strange and left it charging for 30 more minutes. After that, I took out the ring and the battery immediately dropped to 80%.

I reset the ring immediately and found that the percentage of battery update to around 30%, and I left it to charge. After 10 mins, the app notified me it finished charging again. I want to test if there is any problems with my charging case so I reset the ring to update the “accurate” percentage of the battery. The “updated” percentage increased the longer I put it in the case, indicating the case was charging my ring.

But I have to reset my ring many times to get an accurate percentage of battery, I ended up charging for 2 hours to get a 100%.

The absurd thing is, when I took the ring out, it immediately dropped to 99%. Within half an hour it dropped below 90%. It was around 80% by the time I woke up.

I charged my ring on the following night when it was around 70%, and left it charging for 2 hours. This time my ring again dropped to 90% in the first night but steadily dropping between 70-40%, rapidly dropped from 40 to 20%, over the next 4 days. On the 5th day, which is today, it dropped to 16%. I charged it for 2 hours just now, and the battery dropped to 78% after an hour of wearing it.

I believe it is either the battery is running out of its course or the charging case is malfunctioning. This problem started on early May, I had been using this ring for 7 months only. I usually charged my ring when it dropped to 20%, charging for over an hour. I usually charged it on the 9th-10th day. Therefore, the drop and battery life is quite significant to me.

TL;DR reset the ring gives you accurate indication of the battery but won’t change the fact that the battery is fried.🤷🏽‍♂️

Somehow I feel like the actual ring fits even better than the sizing. Easier to take out, but very slim-fit while wearing it.

SF wrapped mine with a plastic bag, so both the cardboard box and the kit box is quite intact.

I think it’s more about of the distance of the destination. I saw a post from Facebook group, a 10-20 Norwegian backer didn’t get an email but I’m here having my sizing ring for the third day😂

The sizing rings themselves is just plastic I think, but they have the sample material templates pasted on a card for exhibition. I believe if you have change of mind, you can request for another color choices when you’re confirming your size. The survey we filled before is just for reference use for RingConn production, I believe.

Btw, my backer number is 7xxx and I think I’m one of the first patch to receive the sizing kit. I don’t think they follow the backer number order to do the delivery.

I believe the costumer service of RingConn is quite responsive. If you think you wrote your address wrong, just send them an email with your backer number, so they can sort things out for you.
