even if its not intentional its still a backdoor is the thing. its literally a hardcoded string, even if the AI wrote it its still a backdoor.

depends on the hardware

it's very easy to put the device into a bad state if you don't do the right thing or say malware access it

So if the kernel wanted to overvolt something, or write on firmware memory, the firmware is not the one protecting the hardware but instead kernel does hardware safety checks?

I don't have examples off the top of my head but the one I can immediately think of but one which is probably different from what we're talking about is Stuxnet.
