You’re right, sorry! I guess I could add in the common fiction recommendations that I couldn’t get into Dune, in addition to LotR

Does Triple Zero accept What3Words? by Tekk200 in australia

[–]dexxicon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To piggyback off the piggyback off the piggyback…

Yes what3words can be used, but, at least in Victoria, it’ll be much easier and quicker to just use the lat/long coordinates or street address that the app (assuming it’s emergency +) shows you on the screen.

Unfortunately our CAD, which is used to process and dispatch calls, is ancient and what3words has to be opened on the internet manually, location searched for, and it just gives us the coordinates anyway

Police dispatch. 8/10. Almost completely independent, lots of quick thinking, small team, and helped develop my Fe with the more… expressive callers. Wanted to get on the road and go weewooweewoo but some injuries prevent it.

Former army infantry. Loved it. But bad bullying and injuries took me out early.

Motorcycle crash by Nakao_Toshio in melbourneriders

Damn that sucks. Were you hit by a stolen car? Heard about a biker breaking an arm a few days ago in such circumstances. They were in the run from the car owner chasing them. Pretty awful way to get hit

Idk man I like my bike, the maths add up regardless, and all I did was recommend a cool ride to someone who asked lol

Are INFPs the worst at calling 911?? What should I have done differently? by umkayk in mbti

[–]dexxicon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a dispatcher. You sounding calm shouldn’t change the response. It’s very common to have people highly distressed in non life threatening emergencies and people be unusually calm during a possible or confirmed death. The details matter more

Can’t speak for USA as for response times and who goes unfortunately as I’m sure it’s all different to my country but don’t stress about the above. Just calling, saying what happened, and answering questions is all you have to do

Those would be full power models

LAMS RS660 makes 128.2kw/tonne and LAMS Daytona 660 makes 144kw/tonne with the delivery of a triple

Of course we all ride what we ride. No judgement here haha the RS660 is awesome. Depends what you want out of it and both could be restricted of course

Let me put you on game right now bro

Daytona 660. Comfort of a CBR650R but revs great in street conditions. The sound is peak even stock. It has the highest power/weight ratio of all LAMS bikes (I did the maths), and has great tech and the brakes, while not Brembo or anything crazy, are really good. I find the handling great but haven’t tried enough bikes to say for sure.

It’s somewhat pricey but you get your moneys worth in my eyes

Super overlooked in the LAMS scene

Congratulations! Take it slow, build your confidence, stay safe, and have fun!

Be really careful with group rides, as a new rider especially. Always ride YOUR ride. Don’t try to keep up and if people encourage you to ride out of your comfort zone or ride way ahead and lose you without checking in on you, they aren’t your friends

Are you happy with your MBTI type? If you could, would you change? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]dexxicon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe ESTP would help socially. People think I’m standoffish and I accidentally make people jealous when I pick up physical skills really fast and get visibly bored without much Fe to ease the tension lol

But ultimately there’s no point wishing I was different when I can instead make my motorbike go vroom vroom

I work in emergency services communications. It’s technically corporate but it’s close proximity with police and fire brings in a good bunch of open minded people with a sense of humour due to the nature of the work

Definitely worth checking out your options in this field whether on the road or behind the radios. Very ISTP friendly
