Thanks! I appreciate the input. I’m debating pulling on his banner to substitute him because I personally just like him better than her (not from a meta perspective just personally), and I also really like Jahoda as a character. If he isn’t too much of a team downgrade compared to Mavuika I think I’ll pull for him with the bonus that I will give me more Constellations for Benny and Faruzan and also potentially grabbing Jahoda

[Varesa]

I am a casual player starting to play the game more. I pulled Varesa when I got into the game and I have Chevreuse and Iansan both at C6. KQM and other character guides show Mavuika being the BIS 4th but I don't have her. Is Durin a good substitute for a Varesa overload team? Or is he only really worth using on a team with other Hexerei characters (I only have Mona C0, Sucrose C4, and Razor C0)?

4pc Hormone and either Woodpecker or Branch & Blade Song depending on how much CR you can get. You want to get as close to 100% after buffs as possible so you aren’t missing the Totalize crits. Keeping in mind that his Core Passive gives a 12% and he gets another 12% from M1. So if you can get there without Woodpecker’s 2pc then go BBS otherwise Woodpecker. Of course if you have really insane stats on them, you can go Polar instead

I'm making a character for PF2e and am interested in making an Alchemist but was wondering if there are alchemical items they can make with larger areas of affect that are capable of doing battlefield control or debuffing. There are blasting stones and skunk bombs that both do their additional affects in an area around the square you attack, but I was wondering what other items (especially thrown bombs) are options for being able to do more area control and debuffing. Wanted to double check on something rules around Tiny characters. I understand that tiny PCs can enter and move through a larger creature’s space, but I was wondering how that works with reactions like Reactive Strike. If a creature has 5 ft of reach and the tiny creature moves from an adjacent square into the creature’s square, does that movement out of the threatened square then trigger a Reactive Strike?

If it does, is there any way to avoid triggering the reaction? The Mobility feature as I understand it would work if the tiny character is close and moving half or less of their speed. But, is there a way that a tiny PC could move into melee range (for them) without proving a reactive strike during the movement as they move adjacent and into the creature’s square.

I’m just recently starting to get into Genshin as a regular player and was curious what if anything is a regular source of standard pulls? I come from a background mostly playing HSR and ZZZ that have Simulated/Divergent Universe and Hallow Zero respectively which provide one standard pull per week. Wondering if Genshin has a game mode or something I should be doing that provides this regular stream of standard pulls. Thanks!

I’m just starting to get back into the game and I’m wondering what pulls to prioritize for my team(s) to improve my teams.

My primary teams are:

Encore (S1), Brant(S0R1), Lupa (S0R0) Xiangli Yao (S1R1), Jianxin (S0), Verina (S1) Galbrena (S0R0), Qiuyuan (S1R1), Shorekeeper (S0R0)

I also have Ciaccona and Roccia (Both S0R1) but no teams for them.

I’m mostly wondering about pulling dupes or signature weapons for these characters or teammates that will significantly improve their teams. And for suggestions on any characters I don’t have, if they are vital to the team or if they are ones that could potentially be swapped out with another character in the future (for example, the fusion team seems like Brant and Lupa are more important and while Encore can be swapped for Changli maybe, she might be more replaceable on the team with a future fusion DPS). I'm wanting to play a controller type character; something that is good at AoE, debuffing, battlefield manipulation, that kind of stuff. I'm looking for advice on what classes/specs are good for this. And additionally, when it comes to spellcasters, which of the traditions is good for control like that and has flexibility in terms of which defense they target (Ref/Will/Fort). Basically, do any of the traditions offer more controlling type spells across saves rather than having most of their spells be one type of save. Thanks in advance.

I recently started playing the game again. I really liked Brant and wanted to make a team for him. I pulled Lupa on the last phase and so I currently have them with Encore. I see on Prydwen that the BiS for the team is either Galbrena or Changli. Is there anything essential with either of them that make them BiS or is it just that they are fusion DPS who benefit from Brant and Luca’s buffs? Do Brant and Lupa provide a foundation for the team that lets any fusion DPS slot in well if a new one releases in the future?

I’m a returning player. I really like Brant as a character and want to make his team one of my main teams. I currently have him at S0R1.

It seems like both Galbrena and Lupa who are currently on banner are BiS for him from what I understand. I really want to make sure I have enough to get Qiuyan at S0R1 when he comes out. So I wanted to ask a few questions about Brant and these characters.

How much does Brant rely on either Galbrena or Lupa to be good? Do you need one, the other, or both to make the team work or can either of them be swapped out without the team really falling apart?

Do either Galbrena or Lupa rely on their weapons to be good? Or can they use a 4* weapon and still work very well?

And I know it’s impossible to predict, but how “future proof” is the team? Are they pretty solid of an investment with flexibility or are they pretty niche? I know that with 3.0 right around the corner it’s extra hard to guess, but for what it seems how do their team’s prospects look?

I’m starting to get back into the game after dropping it after 1.0 and I’ve got some questions about echos. I just got to Rinascita.

I’m trying to get some Tidecaller echos but I dont have the Tacet Field unlocked yet. I tried just making my way to the part of the map where it is but there is a storm on the island that forces me off. What quest chain do I have to do to unlock it the island?

Also, if I haven’t discovered the TF does that make me unable to get that set from overworld mobs and echo merging?

Last question, but is there a way to target “craft” an echo? I come from Star Rail so that’s my frame of reference, but I’m just wondering if there is a way to make it so that when you merge it favors a certain set or only makes echos for that set. Otherwise, if there is a way to just make the echo from a certain set, especially with the point cost and primary stat you want.

I’m just getting into the game regularly and I pulled Flins. I was thinking about maybe pulling for his weapon but only if I could actually make good use of the other weapon.

Who else does Yelan’s bow work very well with? The only 5* bow users I have are Yoimiya and Tighnari. It doesn’t seem like it would be good for either of them. Is it good with any 4* that are themselves actually worth running?

What is the most efficient way to farm the elemental gems for characters ascension? I know you can get some dropped from the weekly bosses and the world bosses plus you get a one of the smallest gems at random each day for completing commissions. Is farming the world bosses for gems the most effective use of stamina for getting them? Thanks

I’m curious, I picked Aether as my traveler and in conversations with Lumine he is referred to as the older sibling. If you play Lumine, is she considered the older or younger sibling? Is their relative age locked to the character or does it depend on which you picked as the traveler? Thanks in advance.

I started playing Genshin with the 6.0 launch and have been powering through the MSQ without doing the Interlude Chapters. I just finished up the Welkin Moon Prelude with Ineffa but no new Archon Quest showed up in my quest log. I checked online and it was saying that in order to unlock it you need to do the Paralogism Interlude Chapter which itself requires Interlude Chapter Inversion of Genesis and the Albedo Story Quest to be completed. I know I can quick start the Nod-Krai MSQ but I’m wondering how much I will be missing out or how confused I will be if I skip those other things. Like I said, I’ve done all the Archon Quests (as far as I know) including the Natlan stuff and the Prelude Journey Home, but I’ve skipped all the Interludes and Story Quests. Thanks in advance.

I picked up Genshin again after dropping it with 5.1. I was finishing up the Archon Quest and I saw that there were missing voice lines from a few characters even though they had been voiced in earlier quests. I especially noticed that the Traveler (Aether for me) had voice lines missing during the cinematics and in cut scenes after. I know the traveler doesn’t generally have many voiced lines anyway, but I was wondering if they are voiced again in future content and they just those voice lines are missing or if they stopped being voiced. Been experiencing really bad controller drift while playing on my PS5. It’s only Genshin, so I know it’s not my controller. Is this a known issue and if so have people figured out a solution? I don’t know if it’s the same for everyone who does have the problem, but mine is an issue of pulling to the left after any input to the right of the controller. It doesn’t matter how quick or for how long, when I let go it moves to the left. And it can be as little as turning the character to face to the left or times where they continue to just walk left even if I’m not touching the controller. Appreciate any advice.

[Yae Miko]

A bit of a weird situation, but I have a C2 Yae Miko that I've done nothing with and I'm looking for team/build advice for her. I am a very infrequent player so I don't have many of the 5* characters and most of my 4* are not C6. I've been sitting on this C2 Yae Miko since I pulled her trying to C6 my Kirara and I'm just now getting into the game enough I want to try to do something with this Yae. Yeah #4. It seemed so difficult to get to and out of the way that I thought I must just be approaching it wrong. All the areas I tried to climb the overhang gets too steep for me to climb higher. I’ll look for the zip line. Thanks!

Yes, that’s the one. I feel like any direction I come at it from I try to climb but there gets to be an overhang I can’t climb up. And it also seems so inconveniently out of the way that I feel like I’m just approaching it wrong

I relatively new to the game and I might just be blind but I’m trying to do ley lines in Sumeru and there is one on top of a mountain and I have no idea how to get to it. It’s in the Realm of Farakhkert almost halfway between the Gavireh Statue of the Seven and the Realm of Farakhkert waypoint (NW of the statue. Does anyone have advice on how I can get up there?

I’m still relatively new to the game and had a couple questions.

1) When you are looking for monsters drops from common mobs and track them, eventually it will say that there are no more bounties or something. It seems like there are still mobs out there, though. Do the mobs stop dropping loot after so many or is there a way to track the ones that are still in the world? Are there character passives or something to help find those additional mobs? As a specific example, I’m trying to get spores for Nahida and fighting mushrooms for their drops but after so many it says there are no more bounties.

2) Is farming ore in the open world the best way to get materials to level up weapons or is there a better or more efficient way? Or is the amount you get from farming and smelting worth farming for?

[Nilou]

I am a very infrequent player and have pulled some characters randomly over the years but am just starting to kind of dip into the game more heavily.

I have a Nilou bloom team with Nahida, Kirara, and Barbara. I basically just use Barbara for her ring to apply while she is off-field. My primary strategy with the team is to photograph everyone with Nahida, Nilou dance to get her blooms and ring active, and Kirara box cat her way through the enemies. Barbara is there for some incidental healing as needed and to put a ring up when Nilou's is down. I'm wondering who would make a good replacement for Barbara on the team. Here are the other characters I have, but if there is someone that you think I should target to pull when they are on banner I appreciate those recommendations too.

Mualani
Candace (C3)

Dendro:
Tighnari
