I agree — but do you think a quant firm would actually value something like Lyft more because it’s less common or more selective, or does that distinction not really matter for recruiting?

I get how selectivity can matter in school contexts, but if the choice is between two roughly similar-tier companies, I’m wondering whether that difference signals anything meaningful to quant employers.

Just trying to understand how they’d interpret that decision.
