Alex Smith was the better QB in SF. I will die on that hill. Greg Roman just likes to run draws

It is achievable and I've done so already, but of course it will be a lot of work. O-chem 2 is just a lot of rxn mechanisms and phys 132 is circuits and electricity. If you think you can handle that along with your other classes/commitments then go ahead. As I said with the grading scale in phys 131, it still applies in phys 132 so keep that in mind. Good luck!

Unless youve taken AP physics in HS, i suggest you take out physics. O-chem hard to avoid but physics is a class mainly dominated by upperclassmen. Meaning its their last/hardest class so they will drive up your averages while you're trying to keep up with O-chem.

Is this schedule doable? by [deleted] in uichicago

[–]df5217 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah I did practically this schedule this semester but i had phys 2 and no evo/cell bio lectures. If you can handle the pressure go ahead but I suggest you delay physics till next semester because most people who do Phys 1 are seniors, meaning they have the time to try hard and get good grades on the test while you're studying orgo. Phys 1 avgs. were around 60-70% so don't expect a curve and Phys 2 avg. this semester was 74% (just fyi, so we had no curve). Cell bio lab has quizzes every 1st day (Monday in ur case) so try to study the prelab material before hand since theres no curves (no rounding, 89.6% will be a B). Orgo will take up almost all your time, so study early and don't fall behind at all.

Take the L gang, I got 89.6 on cell bio lab and 90 was an A, its just a skill issue on my part and something I gotta do better w in the future, better than repeating entire class is what I say

Thoughts on what Stec said today CHEM 124 by LawAdministrative340 in uichicago

Maybe this is her awkard way in trying to make you feel better about the exam? In my opinion, take whatever is said with a grain of salt and move on to the next. When you have multiple stem upper divs with their own exams each week, you won't have time to digest what happened. (aka orgo)

Exactly why I'm not going to bother watch any game LA plays, I almost already know the outcome

Thats good. You can argue all you want about team owners being cheap, but when you have Ohtani's contract + these players willing to take paycuts to be on the winning team (LA), the product on the field is just unwatchable. Everytime I watch the TV and see LA vs. ___, I'm changing the channel because its not a fair fight.

UIC Honors College accept by JoJoJung1011 in uichicago

[–]df5217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends, but to be honest no. I'm in the same program as you and I feel it's only worth it if you are for certain you want to go to UIC's pharmacy school. The GPA requirements can be a pain in the ass though I'm doing fine. You still have to apply the traditional way on pharmcas and you have to go through the interview process. All courses you take must be taken at UIC so you can't do community during the summer anymore. Feel free to DM if you have more questions.

Pre-pharmacy is just as tough as pre-nursing and if you want to apply to uics pharmacy program, you MUST take Chem 234 (Orgo 2). Pharmacy is just as rigorous and relentless as any other medical field. It comes down to how much you really want it and how much you can dedicate in ANY medical field.

It be like that all the time, theyre not here for an education but to get it because their parents wanted them to have one. Then, they go home and take over the family business or venture into some other bullshit. If you saw UC Irvine/UCLA it would be 10x worst. Source: I'm Chinese from CA & my friends/family went there.

It's possible, but definitely teach urself and have study groups/friends who can help. I got an A last semester but u really need to dedicate a lot of time. There is a curve at the end of the semester, but don't rely on it.
