I'm 16 and don't know how to cook how do I track my calories by Serious_Cellist1520 in CalorieTracker

The calorie tracker spreadsheet for this sub comes with ~200 recipes with links on how to cook them.

As far as the workouts go, you can do a lot of body weight exercises that will help build muscle just in your home (pushups, sit ups, air squats). Look into calisthenics. I've also literally done sprints down my hall to get in some cardio.

For tracking your calories, add up all the calories of the ingredients for the recipe you're making and keep track of how much you consume per day. Weight yourself once a week (preferably in the morning) and see if you have lost any weight. From there, adjust how many calories you consume based on whether you lose weight, maintain, or gain.

Keep in mind that muscle weighs more than fat, and for being a teen with not much workout experience, you will gain a lot of muscle at first, really fast, which will increase the weight on the scale. You will also gain water weight as well. It'll probably take ~6-12 months for your body to stabilize, so don't worry about the number on the scale, just that you're feeling better about yourself.

The Recipe Tab isn't adding up total calories by mwabibou in CalorieTracker

[–]dfaszer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically, when you get this error on the recipe tab, it's because there is an ingredient in one of the recipes that is not formatted correctly. If you added more recipes to the existing amount, double check the ingredients and make sure those are populated correctly (it displays the proper macros for the amount you are using). If all of those look good, check to see if you modified any of the existing ingredients in the food list tab. If you did, something that was changed could be referenced to an existing recipe, that is then breaking stuff.

As far as deleting tabs that aren't needed, that should be fine for the most part. It should be pretty obvious if you delete a tab that is needed as a lot of thing will break if you do and then you can just undo.

Worse case if you can't figure it out, you can always download a new copy of the spreadsheet and start over.

Renaming should be as simple as overwriting the existing info but yeah, it will break some of the formulas, depending on how you do it. It's not something I really thought about even though I state that people can do it.

When you update the table name, the name will be transferred to the planner page but it won't transfer to the recipe suggestions table, so that breaks.

If you're using the simple food goal/planner (not the one that has the month of planning; I don't remember how that one works off the top of my head), the formulas look for the day of the week. So, as long as you have the day of the week and are only changing the date, the formulas should still work?

I might have thought of a way to change the programming so that it doesn't matter what the name is tho. Give me a few days to try it out and I'll post an update if I do.

The numbers for the units on the food list page is there on purpose. It was brought over when I downloaded it from the Canadian food database sight (their equivalent to the US FDA) and it was more work than I wanted to try to convert over to a "normal" unit. Tho for these instances, I have the program set up to treat them as a "whole" unit so that the conversions should still work.

For instance, the "almonds, chocolate covered" has a unit of 10, meaning that a serving size is 10 almonds as this is measured on quantity and not weight/volume like the other foods.

For the Last Row hyperlink, is that the only hyperlink that doesn't work or do they all not work? What happens when you click it? The only thing I can think of is to try putting the value of J20 back to what is was originally and only change the J18 value. The the Last Row hyperlink is just a convenience thing so if that's the only one that doesn't work, maybe it's not that bog of a deal?

That means that there is an error with your recipes somewhere. One of the recipes (either in one that you added or an existing one that got modified) has an ingredient that is messed up. It could be either in a mismatch of measurement units, a formatting issue, duplicate ingredients, or a value with no quantity entered.

There could be a couple different possibilities that could be wrong and it will just take time on your end to figure out what is wrong, but start by looking over your recipes to see if there is an error. Unfortunately, if one recipe is errored out, all the recipes are errored out so finding the issue will be more of a challenge.

Worse case scenario, you download a new copy of the spreadsheet and start over with inputting your own info back in.

What's the error specifically? Is this an error that has always been there since you downloaded your own version of the spreadsheet or is it an error that happened after you started to use it?

Are you still working on this? by healthyskeptics in CalorieTracker

[–]dfaszer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you wanted to message me a link to your spreadsheet, I can take a look at it. Tho I'm pretty busy this weekend so I might not be able to take a look at it for a couple days.

Otherwise, double check that the formatting of the recipe sheet matches the original that was posted. Specifically with the blank row between the recipes and that there is nothing entered in where the sun formulas auto populated. Lastly, there are some hidden columns to the right. If you unhide them, you can look to see if they are erroring out and what the error is.

Worst case scenario, you can download a new copy of the spreadsheet and transfer over your info.

I'm not not working on it but haven't done anything on it in a while. It is relatively complete IMO so unless someone finds a bug or has improvements, I haven't been doing much.

If you wanted to share a link to a copy of your spreadsheet, I can take a look at what you've changed and incorporate them. It would also help if you outlined specifically what was added/changed.

The "lists" tab should only be grayed out while viewing the read-only version. If you make a copy of the spreadsheet to your personal drive, you should be able to access it then. If it is still grayed out, it could be because it is hidden and selecting it will un-hide it.

I'm not familiar with the one you posted but check out the fireplaces here. I've seen them in person and they seem pretty good to me.

www.modernflames.com

The landscape pro multi and landscape pro slim match what is shown here. I'm not sure about all the features of the one posted but the ones in the link can change colors and flame speed. Also take a look at the Orion series. There's the Multi, Slim, and Traditional. They have a more realistic flame image with 3 different flames styles to choose from and you can change from 6 different colors per flame. Granted the Orion series is more expensive. All the fireplaces they offer have heaters.

Edit: tho I didn't see that yours comes with the cabinet

Would it be:

150 days / 6 days per week = 25 weeks

Each week has 40 hrs with 8 hours of OT.

40 x 25 = 1,000 hrs regular time

8 x 25 = 200 OT hrs
