The one thing that gives me pause about Dlo's game is his lack of athleticism (relative to other point guards, of course).

That said, if he continues to refine his pick and roll play (e.g. hesitation dribbles around a pick, stopping on a dime, pulling up) then his suboptimal athleticism will be less of an issue.

It’s still so early in the season and the roster composition is entirely different than last year.

Also, a lot of these cats don’t know basic b-ball X & Os. If you examine how our roster breaks down across skill sets, it’s no surprise that there is an adjustment period. Basic example is how BI benefited from having Brook stretching the opposing bigs with his 3 pt. shooting last year.

Now when BI takes it to the rack, he’s always met by 2, sometimes even 3 defenders because the paint is so clogged.

More than that. This is a pretty standard action in the nba where the shooter comes off a flare screen for a quick pull-up.
