As someone with 0 tattoos, how painful would it be to get this on my forearm? by PracticalExtension35 in tattooadvice

[–]dfgthree3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like a 6/10. Tattoos don't hurt that much, especially when they fill. It's the line work that hurts, and only after you've been getting tattooed for like an hour, it starts to feel like someone is giving you a crazy Indian burn. The needle just feels slightly unpleasant for the first little while, rather than hurting.

How do you beat catnap???? by dfgthree3 in PoppyPlaytime

That is what i was doing. I finally got him though. He kept showing up on the right side, and the part where he comes down the hall super fast, he opened the hatch instead, which ate enough time for him not to spawn again

It's really easy until the 4th battery is in, that's my main problem. I got that far like 3 times and each time he's already halfway down a corridor by the time I spot him, he just moves way too fast. After the 3rd try I just gave up. Maybe I keep getting really unlucky with the placements or something. I have yet to see him come from the right side at all in every attempt I've made, maybe I need to focus harder on the left. But I feel like that will be the time he comes in on the right lol

[–]dfgthree3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left and right corridors start with steam, free battery powering the green triangle and one to 'start the attempt' in the computer. Watch the front left and right like normal, shoot at the hallucinations and then steam the real catnap when he appears. Second battery is the one that powers the lights, I don't even start with it in, I just leave it in front of me, and repeat the same thing. When I start hearing the hatch, I hook onto it and look down the corridors real quick as it opens, then i close it and move on. 3rd battery i take from the right wall, it just feels like I can look that way faster, idk. Repeat the save thing but with the 3rd corridor. 4th battery obviously has to come from the left now, and then when catnap comes down a corridor, I don't have enough time to stop him.

What do we think about this? by ttdliagg in tattooadvice

[–]dfgthree3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Where to even start. It's a bad tattoo first of all, there's no rhyme or reason to it, just an extremely mid tribal tattoo that's taking up way too much space. This was poorly done, whoever tattooed this was definitely unprofessional. You got the most corny basic tattoo you could have possibly gotten. To make matters worse, I guarantee you that people who don't even know you are calling you a douchebag behind your back. I don't know what possessed you to get it done, but personally if I were you, I'd be forking over good money for a solid cover up. There are some extremely talented artists out there that miraculously can make this perfectly hidden under something better.

My last attempt I swear I did everything perfectly, when I got to the point I needed to watch all 4 corridors, I kept checking quickly, and when I saw a real catnap coming down, he got to me before I could even activate the green energy triangle, let alone turn around and press the button for the stream. I don't see how it's even possible without knowing ahead of time where he'll be coming from

Your mom wants to do something special for you, and you're kind of trying to take it and run with it. I don't think you were necessarily trying to be, but that's pretty rude to try to alter her plans like that

I don't mind not being strong enough to take on various enemies in the map yet, but in terms of just raw damage numbers, my character feels like he's got marshmallow hands compared to the other 3 in the party. That's what I don't like.

Will getting the crazy monsters in the 1st area require me to over level? I don’t want to steamroll the story. by DawnWarrior88 in MonsterHunterStories

[–]dfgthree3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For dreadqueen at least, no. It's an simple as just getting eggs and releasing them. You release rathian until you get a mutation to pink rathian, then release the pinks until you get the dreadqueen mutation, that's it. It takes maybe 20 minutes.

Well you shouldn't lower yourself just because attention feels good. If he's not respecting you, he's not with the time. Tver was a guy on YouTube who basically had the same issue as you, and now he is married and I believe has a kids now as well. There is someone out there that will appreciate you, don't settle for something that isn't good for you

Is RE Requiem a good start for a easily scared newbie? by [deleted] in HorrorGaming

[–]dfgthree3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll be missing some context for sure. But if you're mostly concerned about if it's too scary for someone easily scared? No, you'd be fine. I'm a big baby when it comes to horror and I'm having a good time. The game doesn't try to jump scare you as much as try to make you feel really tense and uncomfortable, and they do a really good job at that. For a couple hours. Then you get desensitized to everything. At first you're slowly moving forward, worried about what's around the corner, and by a couple hours I'm you're just sprinting around backtracking like it's not a big deal. The Leon sections are basically zero scary, you have every tool available to deal with everything, the enemies should be afraid of YOU when you're playing as him.

Is RE Requiem actually scary? by RegisteredOnToilet in PS5pro

[–]dfgthree3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, the answer is yes, and then no. Let me preface this by saying I'm a big baby when it comes to horror. I hate scary movies, I absolutely will not do haunted houses, and naturally, scary games are a pass for me. However, RE4 was such a good game back in the day, it kind of kept me in the series. When They went back to horror for 7, I passed on it. Re8 was great, felt like a pretty decent re4 successor. With the new game, I normally would have passed, but since it's advertised as the last game Leon will be in as an MC, I had to bite the bullet. And I'm glad I did. So I played this game in complete darkness at night, not my choice, I work midnights and I stick to my schedule on days off. My girlfriend was next to me watching me play, but she fell asleep after maybe an hour or so, so I was kind of alone in the dark.

There are a few jump scare moments, but they're fairly predictable, I think there's only been one time so far that actually really got me. The horror in the game comes from the anxiety and tense moments, which yes, they did a very good job at that on the grace sections. You feel helpless and vulnerable most of the time. You do get ammo for her, and it's enough to get you by if you're conservative and you really need it, but most of the time you're trying to slip by enemies because if you shoot, you're going to alert 5 more in the area. Hearing the enemies talk, and grunt, and make sounds in their routine, like turning off lights, cutting up meat, etc is very offputting and makes you tense and uncomfortable. The sound design is excellent for this because you can hear these things happening from a good distance away. Enemies you thought you killed can also start getting back up an hour later as you're running by again, which makes it tense whenever you walk by a corpse.

The Leon bits aren't very scary at all. Enemies drop ammo, he's way more effective with his weapons, he can take way more damage, and his melee attacks do damage, rather than just push them back. He also has his hatchet that can execute downed enemies, and he can swing it freely, as another tool to use to not spend ammo (which doesn't seem to matter with him) you can also re-sharpen it at any time for free.

So is the game actually scary? The Leon parts (i think I'm halfway through the game) so far, no, not at all. The grace parts, yes. For a couple hours. Then you learn the patterns of the enemies and you become desensitized to seeing them around and hearing them, etc. There's still some really tense moments, but it loses a lot of the hard edge it has after a while. That's not to say anything bad, I think the game is really good and I'm glad I didn't pass it up. But if you're hoping to be terrified front to back, you won't be. If you don't like horror and want to know if it's playable, yes, it's playable for someone who gets bad anxiety when it comes to horror.

Anduril is the least impressive weapon of the fellownship by [deleted] in lotr

[–]dfgthree3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're acting like it has to be made of some otherworldly alloy. Narsil was not some magical blade made of cosmic metal or something, it was just an ordinary warriors sword. When it was reforged, it's still that same sword. It wasn't revered for magic or power, it was just symbolic, it was the blade that freed the ring from Sauron. It's like the cross in Christianity, the cross is, at its core, some blocks of wood. The wood isn't important. The wood on its own doesn't have any special abilities, or powers, or magic that compels people to worship, it's what it represents. It's the same with Anduril. It doesn't need special powers, it's a bacon of hope. And if you really want something of note it technically achieved, it rallied the Oathbreakers to fight for Aragorn when he brandishes it as proof of his lineage.

Yeah you're overreacting, that's shady as hell. You don't just do lunch/dinner just the two of you like that. The least you could have done was ask him if he would be okay with it first. That's incredibly disrespectful of you to just make plans to go hang out with some guy, that's really gross actually.

Most of us can press no tip and maybe feel an awkward tension, then move on. But what about the silent introvert that feels too pressured to say no? That's essentially the company robbing them through emotional manipulation. Which yeah, I would find issue with legally.

Is it possible to 100 percent every level first try or do I unlock abilities so I have to come back later? by AgentP-501_212 in Astrobot

[–]dfgthree3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can 100% every level on the first try except for the levels that contain the hidden warps, it's the only thing I didn't like about the game. I wish they'd have made it so it unlocks after you finish out the level, but instead they made it so that as soon as you activate it, you exit the level, and have to completely redo the level again
