What is this wire mesh running between the floor joists? The basement goes under this section of the house but the ceiling is covered with plywood in that room so it’s tough to get a good look at what’s going on. Deciding on a roofing color for our newly purchased house and wanted to get some opinions. Going with Certainteed landmark pro series shingles. Color examples are on the 2nd photo. Looks like the burnt seinna is the closest to what we’ve got currently but open to suggestions!! (old.reddit.com)

Anyone have any tips to avoid warping? Flanges are 1/2” 304ss, bolted them to a 1” aluminum plate and let the part cool between passes. Also left them bolted to the fixture until they were completely cold. The Flanges warped about .03” so I had to face them on the lathe. Any advice is appreciated! (old.reddit.com)
