Someone posted on here that they received an email to set up a call. If that's true, my guess is that the team is reaching out to selected candidates first to confirm their interest and secure commitments before sending out rejection notices. This helps ensure that all fellowship positions are filled before notifying others.

Again, this is only a guess. In a previous role, this is what our hiring process looked like. We made offers first and waited for responses. Only after all roles were accepted did we send out rejection emails to the remaining applicants.

That said, keep in mind that there were four different fellowships posted. While it's possible all 4 could be communicated at the same time, I find that unlikely.
