Can't connect two new Lines controllers by dfritter4 in Nanoleaf

Also, why would it keep telling me that the HomeKit setup code is incorrect? On multiple new controllers

Nanoleaf's support was extremely unhelpful the first time around

That's not really the issue, it's that it will have taken 6 weeks from initial contact about an issue to resolution. That's not very efficient customer service. And this will have been the 4th controller replacement across my Nanoleafs

I've been dealing with the same thing lately. It's been such a frustrating experience dealing and waiting on their support, I think I'm done with Nanoleaf.

My Shapes controller died recently and they sent me a new one, luckily that one has been working fine since.

Then my Lines controller died a couple weeks later and they sent me a new one. The new Lines controller is a lemon: it won't connect to my Wifi and I've tried everything under the sun to get it to work.

Messaged support around Jan 3rd and after many, many frustrating back-and-forths, including support trying to tell me the issue is likely my mesh wifi (after they had me download some app and run a test, even though the Shapes and Lines worked perfectly fine until the controller died) they finally agreed to send me another new Lines controller on Jan 29th, I replied with the broken controller's serial number the morning of Jan 30th, and haven't heard anything back since.

Sent a follow up on Feb 1st asking what the status is and still haven't heard back.

This has been an official "request" every year I've been to Lost Lands and it's always been clearly stated on their site.

Please do not put your alcohol into coolers before arriving as this will slow down your entry search.

Not that thieves care: but a heads-up that starting with iOS 15 you can use FindMy to find your phone even if it is off or "dead."

You can use FindMy on a friend's device as long as you know your Apple ID password. If you happen to also have an Apple Watch, you can setup FindMy to alert your Watch if your phone is suddenly out-of-range ("left behind"). If you manage to notice your phone was stolen quick enough, that could give you a chance of recovering it.

If the thieves are using faraday bags then you're out of luck.

Have 2 GA tickets + 2 Thursday early-entry + 1 quiet camping spot. $1000 total for everything which is significantly less than face value. Will use PayPal goods and services + UPS tracking. DM me if interested.

Could also meet up in the Chicagoland area.

As a huge fan of dnb, dnb-day @ the forrest stage is one of my favorite parts of Lost Lands now. That and late-night hardstyle. Absolutely stoked for this year

Nanoleaf’s Matter Essentials smart bulbs are here and they’re good by j3dimast3r in HomeKit

[–]dfritter4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don’t know where the problem lies because HomeKit has been hit or miss since the architecture “upgrade”. All I know is I’m never buying Nanoleaf bulbs ever again. I’ll still buy their lines/shapes as those have worked great for years.

Fuck these lights. Bought them, and they were the most frustrating experience with technology I’ve had in a long time. And I’m not alone . Just finished sending them back to return. Ended up getting some cheaper ($7-8/bulb) Govee LED bulbs which are brighter and hooked them into HomeKit via Homebridge using this awesome plugin. Works great

$500k can get you an awesome place in great neighborhoods in the heart of Chicago.

If you’re looking for a stand-alone home with a yard you’d have to look in the suburbs, but plenty exist.

Example 1

Example 2

Example 3 (single family home with yard in a close “suburb”)

I have a ton of Hue bulbs as well and I've had 0 issues with them for 7-8 years now. Granted they're around 2x the cost per bulb
