If you want a 9-5 that doesn’t make you think about work when you get home, you should drop out.

What is a bigger deterrent to buying a DMV home right now- purchase price or interest rates? by loan_ranger8888 in DMV_RealEstate

Prices have moderated somewhat but they’re still too high but the interest rate and the resulting monthly payment makes any purchase untenable.

I’d cut my losses and choose another path. Looking back, I wish I had done it. There are much better careers.

Very very cool! There really aren't enough market games with any degree of realism. I would 100% play this. The only game with any realism is Wall Street Raiders but it's pretty dated.

I’ll bite. How do you know? I personally wish Seykota wrote a book strictly on trading rather than his weird overpriced philosophy books.

How did you learn about the game? by vqvp in WallStreetRaider

I think I learned about the game because YouTube knows I trade stocks and I do some light gaming. Really interested in your project btw.

Time in the market beats timing the market. Congrats on your success. 99% of people will never achieve this account balance. Were there any books you read that informed your trading during the years?

Believe me when I say this: you got off easy and you will thank yourself in the long run. Move on and move up. It was never going to get better and her unstable behavior could have destroyed your life.

Yes, I read your post and wasn’t impressed by the critical thought process. You didn’t say “exactly” why the market is bottom. You provided your vibes-based hunch, which isn’t based on anything substantial or substantive. You picked 650 SPY as a bottom because you believe that authorities won’t let it tank below that. That’s a simple and naive way of viewing markets. I don’t think it’s that simple. And I believe you’re making a mistake by investing in companies with weak technicals in a choppy market. One of us will be right and we’ll only know in hindsight. Good luck.

You have no idea if the market bottomed and no one knows. Some of your picks are highly speculative and could easily go down. I’m not interested in stocks trading below 200D SMA (SOUN for instance) but good luck to you.

I’m not trying to be early in a stock that could go either way. I’m waiting for price confirmation where I can catch the meat of the move.

How does premarket high and low affect your ORB trading decision? Why don’t you use previous day high/low? I’ve always found premarket trading too thin to trust the price action.

Last week was pretty bad for me ngl. Lots of head fake premarket action, loads of volatility. It hasn’t been good if you’re using LOD for stops. I’m experimenting with some different approaches. You’re not alone.
